Titleist unveils their new TSi2 and TSi3 hybrids to complete the popular lineups of metalwoods. These golf clubs are made to be scoring clubs, not just used to get you out of trouble on the golf course. Engineered as long iron replacements, these new hybrids offer two distinct looks and performance options, including improved adjustability, sound, and feel. See how they performed and learn all about the latest technology in TGW’s exclusive review.

Technology
Driven by the Titleist Speed Chassis, the TSi2 and TSi3 hybrids feature technology originally created for drivers and fairway woods, now optimized for hybrids. These golf clubs feature the thinnest, fastest face Titleist has ever included in a hybrid to deliver faster ball speeds and increased forgiveness.
The thickness of the face and crown in these Titleist hybrid models help produce a lower center of gravity. That means a higher launch and lower spin for greater distance. This design increases MOI and forgiveness for an optimal combination of speed and stability.
Both the TSi2 and TSi3 hybrids feature the Titleist SureFit hosel. This hosel provides 16 independent loft and lie adjustments to dial in your preferred flight. The TSi hybrids also include added head weight adjustability. This level of precision fitting creates optimized performance and more consistent ball flight on your tee shots.
The TSi3 hybrid also includes SureFit CG Track Technology. There are 3 unique positions, Toe, Neutral, and Heel, to fine-tune ball flight by adjusting the center of gravity. Once adjusted, the track disappears into the sole of the club for smoother turf interaction.
Performance
We tested the performance of the new Titleist TSi hybrids with the help of Rick Hatfield. Rick is the head golf pro at Flint Hills National Golf Club and TGW’s resident product expert. His average hybrid swing speed for this test was 88-90 mph. Starting with the TSi2 model, Rick used the 18° hybrid and averaged 132 mph of ball speed with an average launch angle of 15°. He achieved a high ball flight with an average spin rate of 4,300 rpm. Overall, Rick’s average carry distance with the TSi2 was right at 200 yards.
Moving on to the TSi3 hybrid, Rick used the 20° 3 hybrid in this model. His average ball speed was 128.1 mph with an average launch angle of 16.1°. Rick averaged 4,395 rpm of spin with this club during our test with a high trajectory and steep descent that will help you hold more greens. All together, Rick averaged 191 yards of carry distance with the TSi3 hybrid.
Who It’s For
The Titleist TSi2 hybrid is a better fit for golfers who use a sweeping motion with their metalwoods. Golfers who want more distance and forgiveness out of their long iron replacement will benefit most from the TSi2 design.
The Titleist TSi3 hybrid is a better fit for skilled golfers looking for a more iron-like option in their long game. Players who want to fine-tune their shot trajectory and shape while maintaining precise distance control will benefit most from the TSi3 model.
Appearance
The Titleist TSi2 hybrid features a more rounded metalwood-type shape. It is larger in comparison to the TSi3 and made to be more forgiving and stable for golfers who need a little extra help.
The Titleist TSi3 hybrid has a more iron-like profile preferred by skilled golfers. It is more compact when compared to the TSi2.
Feel & Sound
The Titleist TSi2 hybrid feels and sounds more like a fairway wood at impact. The experience hitting this golf club is powerful and responsive, matching the feel and sound associated with previous Titleist hybrids.
The Titleist TSi3 hybrid has a little bit more muted feel and sound. They also feel more substantial at impact, more like a long, and that is something more skilled golfers will enjoy about this hybrid.
