Which One Is Right For You?
Corey Gerrard: These are completely new irons with a new construction. The T-Series is not a replacement for the AP family. Since this wasn’t an evolution of an existing iron, we needed a new name.
TGW: So why did Titleist choose T100, 200, and 300 instead of following the naming convention of the TS line?
CG: The TS drivers are all about speed and distance while the irons take a 3D approach. The 3 Ds are distance, dispersion, and descent. Each iron needed to perform in all three of those areas.
TGW: Which iron is best for which type of golfer?
CG: T100 is for the player who wants to play a true Tour iron.
T200 is for the player who wants some distance help but doesn’t want to sacrifice on looks, feel, trajectory, or stopping power.
T300 is for the player who wants high launch, long distance, and forgiveness they can trust swing after swing.
TGW: Let’s talk about some new technology. T200 and T300 irons have new Max Impact Technology. Tell us a little about this development.
CG: Max Impact Technology is a system that combines our thinnest face, a polymer core, and a structural support that allows us to push the materials to new limits. It allows us to maximize ball speed and launch all across the face.
The newest generation of Titleist irons is a revolution in performance for golfers of all ability levels. Check back to TGW.com very soon for your chance to pre-order yours.
It doesn’t look like the T200 are forged? Surprised since those are considered “players” distance irons.
