TaylorMade P7MC Irons Review
Technology
The technology in the TaylorMade P7MC irons starts with how they are made. These irons are forged from 1025 carbon steel using TaylorMade’s process it calls compact grain forging. The final step in this process is the use of a 2,000-ton press to put the final stamp on the shape of these irons. This ensures a tighter, more compact grain structure that provides the most solid, consistent feel possible.
TaylorMade also machines the face and grooves of every one of the P7MC irons to ensure precision and consistency. They machine in the most aggressive score lines onto these irons to guarantee exact shot-making ability.
Finally, they go over every angle of the irons to ensure proper perimeter weighting. That added mass around the cavity increases stability and forgiveness for those shots where you don’t quite hit the center of the face.
Who It’s For
The TaylorMade P7MC irons are for a group of top-tier golfers who just do not prefer to play a blade. Some golfers prefer that added bit of perimeter weighting, stability, and forgiveness. Great ball strikers who love forged irons but want that little bit of extra help will enjoy the P7MC golf clubs. Anyone from professional up to a 5 or 6 handicap makes a good target player for this design. “There are great ball-strikers out there that just don’t want to play a blade and those players will love these clubs,” Chandler Carr of TaylorMade told us.

Appearance
TaylorMade’s P7MC irons are made in a Tour-inspired shape with input from the world’s best players about what they like to see in an iron. These clubs have a thin topline and progressive offset that looks clean down by the ball. They also have a narrow sole and tight leading edge that glides easily through the turf.
Feel & Sound
TaylorMade P7MC irons feel and sound like a muscle back iron just with added stability. These irons are fully forged from carbon steel for that soft, buttery feel better players love. They sound solid when you hit them solid and they do not feel forgiving if you do not make proper contact.

Why is the offset in the 7 iron more than the 6 iron?
The 7 iron actually has an offset of 2.1mm. We apologize for the typo and will correct it right away. Thank you!
