Every Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal iron starts with its new nickel Chromoly material. Some of the best Mizuno irons of all time have been created using Chromoly and the JPX 923 irons usher in a new generation of performance. This material is seriously strong. In fact, it’s 35% stronger than Mizuno’s original Hot Metal material. That strength in the 4335 Nickel Chromoly construction allowed Mizuno’s engineers to make each club face 8% thinner for even more speed and distance.
To increase the stopping power of the new Hot Metal irons, Mizuno created a seamless cup face construction that delivers the deeper center of gravity needed for higher launch and a more controllable descent angle.
Mizuno also redesigned one of its signature technologies with a new V-Chassis that delivers a more solid and satisfying vibration pattern even though the club face is 8% thinner. They also extended the thinnest part of the sole to make it 18% wider to enlarge the high-energy area of the club for more powerful shots with your irons.
