Methodology
To determine the best cities to celebrate Father’s Day this June, we analyzed the 100 largest U.S. metro areas using 14 ranking factors related to dining, drinks, outdoor recreation, entertainment, weather, walkability, affordability, and golf.
Each factor was scored on a 0-to-5 scale, with 5 representing the most favorable score and 0 representing the least favorable. Factors were weighted based on their estimated impact on the Father’s Day experience. Higher weights were assigned to categories more directly tied to common Father’s Day plans, including golf, local events, and sporting events.
Final scores were calculated by averaging the weighted factor scores and converting the result to a 0-to-100 scale. Cities with scores closer to 100 indicate stronger overall destinations for celebrating Father’s Day.
