Q & A

  • The M3 driver features three new innovations from TaylorMade designed for straight distance and unmatched personalization.
  • Twist Face Technology introduces a new curvature that reduces side spin by altering the loft in areas of common mis-hits to help you find the fairway.
  • The Hammerhead Slot is a redesigned sole slot, included for the first time in TaylorMade's most adjustable driver.
  • Y-Track adjustable weights are a new simple, intuitive way to adjust weight and customize your ball flight.
  • TaylorMade's M3 driver is ideal for the golfer who wants adjustability and control with the ability to shape their shot off the tee along with a new level of forgiveness.

  • Twist Face corrective face curvature reduces side spin in the common mis-hit locations to deliver straighter shots off the tee
  • New Hammerhead Slot in the sole allows for a more flexible club face, creating a larger sweet spot
  • Y-Track adjustability lets you move two 11-gram weights to create high, medium, or low trajectory
  • 4° adjustable hosel to fine-tune loft and personalize launch
  • Includes headcover

Twist Face

This revolutionary new face curvature increases loft in the high-toe area and decreases loft in the low-heel area to reduce side spin. By limiting spin in these common mis-hit zones, you hit the ball straighter more often.

Hammerhead Slot

This new sole slot design is implemented in TaylorMade's most adjustable driver for the first time. Reinforced outer portions of the slot allow for a lighter, more flexible face while the center portion increases speed on shots hit low on the face and lowers spin to increase distance.

New Y-Track Adjustable Weights

Two 11-gram weights sit in a new Y-track to let you customize launch, trajectory, and ball flight. Split the weights into the outer portions for high trajectory and more forgiveness. Place the weights in the front and back of the front track for medium trajectory or move them both forward for a low, penetrating ball flight.

Available in Four Lofts

Adjustable Loft Sleeve

The M3 driver is available in four lofts, each with 4° of adjustable loft and lie to further customize your performance.

TaylorMade Men's M3 Driver MRC Chemical Tensei Red Stiff Left 10.5 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ball flight, adjustability and forgiveness Had been on the Epic for the last year and fought the hook with this driver. With the M3 adjustablility I have found it easier to dial in a gentle draw and still plenty of distance (slightly shorter than Epic). There is something to the twist face, it has softened my misses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase! Have been through a lot of drivers in my 50 years of golfing but this one is absolutely the best I have used. Adjustability and added distance are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adjustable draw feature Best driver I have owned. Have played Callaway drivers forever but once I drove the M3 I said goodbye to the Chevron. Long and straight just about every drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TaylorMade M3 Is Longest, strongest Driver Ever! I am hitting the ball longer, stronger and more accurately than ever after buying the TaylorMade M3 driver with Twist Face technology. I have picked up 10-12 yards in distance off the tee, and I'm hitting more fairways than ever before! The M3 driver is the best of all worlds -- longer and more accurate than my previous drivers. I have played golf for 50 years and have never hit such a great driver!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Straight straight straight Bought this to upgrade a 7 year old driver. Hitting 270+ drives all the time (that’s a first for me). Miss hits are ultra forgiving and allow you to play from more fairways. Do have to tee down lower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great driver I bought this driver a month ago and couldn't be happier. I previously had an R11, but I needed an upgrade.

what is the difference between ---M3-440 and M3-460 ?

Asked by: mike855
The M3 440 model has a smaller 440cc club head compared the 460cc club head of the regular model. Some golfers prefer the more compact club head for adding a bit more control and workability to their tee shots.

What if any is the advantage of getting an M4 over the M3 driver? It seems like you can get M4 capability on the M3 by just adjusting the weights.

Asked by: TML8888
Through adjustment you can get the 2 models close. The M4 driver is the more forgiving model. The 460cc driver comes in a package that's 15 percent lighter than M3 and features a redesigned face that's 8 grams lighter compared to 2017 M2. The weight saved from the face, along with a thinner carbon composite crown and sole, made it possible to pack 41 grams of weight deeper in the rear perimeter. Slight improvements were made to the overall shape of the head to give it a sleeker, more streamlined look at address.

What exactly is taken into account to determine appropriate shaft selection?  Swing speed, personal preference, etc?

Asked by: Jeff0523
There are many variables in determining which shaft is best for you. We would recommend visiting a local fitter to measure for things like the Swing Tempo, Release, Trajectory, Flight Direction Tendency, distance control etc.

Which shaft has a higher kick pt

Asked by: Joey guns
A high kickpoint shaft tends to produce a lower launch angle. The Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei White has a low launch and a higher kick point, then the Tensei Blue 60 has a Mid launch, then the Tensei Red 50 has a mid-high launch.

M3 driver shaft what’s the difference between the red and blue shafts what would u recommend for a swing speed between 95-100

Asked by: Smitty512
The Tensei Red shaft is a lighter shaft only weighing 50g for all flexes available with a 4.1 degree torque and has a high launch and mid to high spin. The Blue shaft is heavier, the weight for regular flex is 64g with a 4.6 torque, Stiff 67g with a 4.5 torque, and X-Stiff 70g with a 4.4 torque and has a mid launch and mid spin. You will most likely want a stiff flex shaft. However, which shaft recommendation would depend on Driver Carry (yds). We would recommend being fitted at a local golf shop to determine which will work best for you.
