TGW Customer Feedback on the TaylorMade M1 and M2 drivers

Chris Schram of TGW talks with Mike, a TGW customer, about the TaylorMade M1 and M2 Drivers.

We took our new multi-material construction and leveraged the weight savings to give golfers what they want, distance and a whole lot of forgiveness.

Brian Bazzel, Senior Director, Metalwoods Product Creation

Hotter Trajectory

The TaylorMade M2 driver is built with a low CG location that works in connection with the redesigned Speed Pocket and improved aerodynamics for a hotter launch and trajectory with less spin.

Multi-Material Construction

The TaylorMade M2 driver features TaylorMade's carbon composite crown. This construction helps save weight, allowing for that weight to be placed strategically to help improve performance. That weight savings means faster swings and added forgiveness for consistent long and straight performance.

Even Larger Sweet Spot

TaylorMade's M2 driver has a massive sweet spot that produces maximum forgiveness all across the club face. Inverted Cone Technology, a high MOI design and a redesigned Speed Pocket all work together to increase the sweet spot and protect speed at more impact locations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heck of a driver! Great pop off this thing, solid sweet spot and pretty forgiving too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High expectations My expectations were high from TGW but my driver came quicker than expected. My M2 driver works great; got 15-20 yards longer than my older Callaway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the feel of the club when I swing I bought this club for my husband's birthday. He has only gotten to hit it a few times but loves the feel of the club. Once he starts playing more sure he will get in the groove

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing feel and sound I was hesitant to put money towards a new driver, but it was well worth it. I have a slower swing speed (avg 105), but improved overall by 25 yards.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Taylor made M2 Driver I'm a Taylormade addict, have owned there drivers for many years. The new M2 has been the first disappointment I've ever had with the equipment. The problem lies in the shaft, seems to me they cheated on the old family recipe, TM has always used great shafts, boy not this time. I have the stock shaft and it is so weak, so much so I went back to my RBZ driver. Hope in the future they don't go simply after profit, this attempt was a failure in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Hit From the first drive this club has been awesome - big sweet spot and ball jumps off the face

Rated 5 out of 5 by from M 2, Bought it a few weeks ago, have play two rounds with both the driver and 3 wood. Not sure why I waited to get these clubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More forgiving I had the Aeroburner and was perfectly happy. I just tried the M2 and glad I made the change. Several guys have said. I hit the M2 better than my old driver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent driver Used this driver a couple of times so far and am thoroughly impressed with the fit finish and feel of the M2. It has a nice solid feel, and the ball pops off the face .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great driver, low spinning Bought this driver to replace Taylormade RBZ Stage 2 driver from 2013. The M2 driver produces lower spin shots. The launch angle is perfect and easily adjustable by changing the loft. It has a duller sound, not the high pitching tinny sound of my old driver, but is easy to get used to. This driver provides more consistent shots. Love the way the club looks at address. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dynamite! I gained ten yards with more accuracy. Great adjustable features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added distance. Upgrade to the M2 from the Burner 2.0, what a difference. Added distance, even on miss hits. I'm a high handicapper and this is the first driver I've owned that I can full swing. I love being able to swing away and still find the fairway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and straight I bought this a couple months ago and already taking 3-4 shots off my round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a good choice Normally I do not buy clubs to improve but work on my technique but having tried an M2 driver in a video booth I took the plunge. I am an 18 handicap over 60 man who has been playing golf for 6 years. I have a bad back and neck through playing too much rugby so limited body movement and swing. With the M2 I swing slow and deliberate with a clear improvement in length. I keep going back to the range just to see if the improvement is still there, very happy. The senior shaft is perfect for me and when the rain stops here in Belgium I will be trying to get below 18.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Driver Purchased the 10.5 degree driver with the stock Fujikura X-Stiff shaft which is on the softer side of an extra stiff. The standard stiff balloons. Very penetrating flight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Husbands driver He's gained 15 to 20 yards and is more fun to play golf with now!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The M2 really performs Bought this a month ago. Took a while to figure out what shaft to get with all the choices available besides stock. I'm an 8-10 hcap, 55 year old. Swing speed unsure of but estimate 100-ish. Specs: RH, 10.5 degree, Golf Pride Decade Scarlet/Platinum grip, stiff Fujikura Speeder 661 Evolution TS (this is the TP version on the R-15 I believe). I liked my circa 2009 Burner TP for so many years that I stayed with the Fujikura family, kept the weight (661) about the same. I'm not a gorilla so stayed away from the heavier shafts but also kept it above the lower slower swing speed light shafts. Results from one trip to the golf course so far is that I'm excited. First easy swing on first hole put it 15 yards past normal...and it wasn't a fluke, I did it all day. Nice solid sound when struck. I am very happy to have this new toy. Special order when not ordering stock, mine took less than two weeks from factory and price was the same. Very cool. Also, I choose the M2 because I didn't want all the tune-ability of the M1. My swing is fairly consistent but can change depending on which side of the bed I wake up on. So for me, I'd rather work towards a consistent swing and ball flight than tweak the club all the time.
