PING Men's i200 Irons

Players Club Look, Game-Improvement Performance

With its S-series irons and last year’s iBlade, PING has continued to revolutionize the players iron by offering golfers a clean, compact look with incredible playability. And that is once again the recipe when it comes to the new i200 irons, which despite their thin toplines and minimal offset are arguably the most forgiving players iron that PING has ever created. That forgiveness is the result of a number of innovations, starting with the fact that by engineers were able to utilize an extremely thin clubface in the i200 design and the weight that was saved in that process was redistributed to the perimeter of the club to increase MOI. Of course, the thinner clubface also results in faster ball speeds and more distance as well. Also making the new i200 irons more playable is a higher leading edge and more bounce, which combine to improve turf interaction for more consistent results on slight mis-hits. From a construction standpoint, the i200s were created using soft 431 stainless steel, so they are a cast club, but an elastomer insert has been positioned behind the clubface to create soft feel and crisp acoustics at impact. And finally, adding to the aesthetic beauty of the i200 irons is their elegant hydropearl chrome finish. The stock shaft for the i200 irons will be the AWT 2.0, but other premium aftermarket options are available at no upcharge as well.

Ideal For:

Golfers of almost all ability levels. The PING i200 irons certainly have the look of a players club and they will offer better players the feel and control that they’re looking for in an iron. That said, these irons are also incredibly forgiving and generate impressive distance, which will give mid- and high-handicappers who value clean lines and a compact profile the chance to play an iron that has a classic shape but gives them the yardage they need without significantly punishing mis-hits. For that reason, you’re likely to see i200 irons played on Tour and by recreational players with very different playing profiles.

Thin, Fast Clubface

Generates faster ball speeds from all impact points for more distance while also maintaining optimal gapping between clubs.

Thin, Fast Clubface

Perimeter Weight Distribution

Weight saved in the clubface design has been repositioned to the toe and hosel regions to increase forgiveness.

Elastomer Insert

Positioned behind the clubface, the Elastomer Insert enhances both sound and feel at impact.

PING Men's i200 Irons is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another solid performer from Ping 4-UW. These are not the longest distance irons you can buy, but they are plenty long for a player's, mid-handicapper players club where hitting your number is more important than absolute raw distance. Very solid at impact, very accurate irons, you do not get one 8 iron that goes 150 and another that goes 170 on your approach shots, very dependable distances. Med-high trajectory with good spin and workable. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent set of irons from Ping Couldn’t be happier with a set of irons. I’ve hit several different Ping irons over the years and these are the best by far. First ones good enough to make me switch from forged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Go Wrong with Ping Irons It was time to upgrade from my Ping i3+ irons, and it couldn't have come at a better time. I love the look of the Ping i200, but that's not why I bought them. The irons are as advertised, long and forgiving. I have only been able to hit them on a simulator since Winter has decided to over extend it's welcome, but the results have been fantastic. Can't wait to see how I hit them in real action.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from outstanding clubs I now have enough rounds with the Ping I200's to give a full assessment and I think they are fantastic. I find them to be longer, more accurate and very forgiving compared to an older set of Ping G10's that I played for years. The smaller clubhead is nice and very workable and the increased distance is noticeable. I highly recommend giving them a test drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Irons Great feeling irons, look awesome at set up. Great distance, soft feel..very forgiving. Have played dynamic Gold for years.. the AWT 2.0 (stiff) is highly under rated. Very good stock shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo solid Bought these as a replacement for the Mizuno irons I'd been playing. Forgiveness is great, feel is even better. Coming from a muscle-back to a cavity has been a breath of fresh air and greatly improved my game. Nearly impossible to mis-hit and they look AMAZING. Plenty long and easy to work both ways, very confidence inspiring when sitting behind the ball. As always, go get fit before buying a set, but make sure you give these a try.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Irons ever Just got these custom ping I200 irons and they are no where the irons they describe. I realize they are blade type, but I've hit blades forever. The distance is terrible I have to hit at least 1 club more for distance sometimes 2 clubs. Wish I had stayed with Tailor-made Irons.
