A shallower face design allows for a face that is 9% thinner than its predecessor, increasing ball speed across the entire face while providing a more player-preferred look at address.
PurFlex Cavity Badge
The 4-piece molded PurFlex cavity badge is more flexible than previous designs, expanding and contracting to support the thinner face while contributing to more ball speed and enhancing feel and sound at impact.
Improved Set Gapping
Extended length in the 4, 5, and 6 irons helps generate more ball speed for higher-launching long irons with consistent distance gaps. A re-configured four-wedge system (PW, UW, 52°, 56°) simplifies wedge choice and improves gapping throughout the set.
Technology
- Thinner, Shallower Face: A shallower face allows for a design that is 9% thinner than its predecessor, delivering increased ball speed across the face and a more player-preferred look at address.
- Low CG System, High MOI: Face height and thickness reductions save approximately 4g per iron, repositioned low and back in the head to lower the CG for more ball speed and a higher MOI for consistency on off-center strikes.
- PurFlex Cavity Badge: The 4-piece molded PurFlex cavity badge is more flexible than previous designs, expanding and contracting to support the thinner face while contributing to more ball speed and enhancing feel and sound.
- Premium Cosmetics: A chrome finish on the back of the head and inside the cavity badge delivers an eye-catching, high-quality premium appearance.
- Players-Inspired Look: A shallower face height, shorter blade length, and thin top line give the G440 iron the look of a players iron while maintaining the forgiveness and consistency of a game-improvement design.
- Improved Set Gapping: An additional 1/8" of length in the 4, 5, and 6 irons helps create more ball speed for higher-launching long irons with consistent distance gaps across the set.
- Re-Configured Wedge System: A four-wedge system (PW, UW, 52°, 56°) improves gapping and simplifies wedge choice. The 56° is inspired by the iconic EYE2 sand wedge with its bounce profile and sole design to help golfers of all skill levels escape bunkers.
