L.A.B. Golf DF3 Putter

L.A.B. Golf DF3 Putter

L.A.B. Golf DF3 Putter

Same DNA. Sleeker shape. The L.A.B. Golf DF3 is the putter golfers demanded after falling in love with the original Directed Force — and it's become L.A.B. Golf's most successful model ever since. The DF3 preserves every performance advantage of the original: it stays square on its own, mishits are effectively inconsequential, and Lie Angle Balance keeps your stroke on the correct path from takeaway to follow-through. What changed? Everything you see. The DF3 is smaller, cleaner, and a lot more approachable for golfers who want elite performance without the spaceship aesthetics. Oh — and a U.S. Open was won with it. J.J. Spaun sank a 64-foot putt with his DF3 to claim the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont.

Features

  • Lie Angle Balance — Fully Automatic Putting: Like the original Directed Force, the DF3 is what L.A.B. Golf calls 'fully automatic.' The putter wants to guide itself on the correct path on the backswing and through impact. Golfers who switch from conventional putters immediately notice how much less effort is required to keep the face square — because the putter is doing that work for them.
  • Redesigned Head Shape — Compact, Clean, and Competition-Proven: The DF3 takes a chisel to the original Directed Force. The front and sides are sculpted in a way that makes the putter appear more compact while actually maintaining the same MOI and forgiveness as its predecessor. A golf ball-sized cutout at the tail — the Gimme Getter — serves a practical purpose: ball retrieval without bending over. Compact. Clever. Thoroughly Lie Angle Balanced.
  • 100% CNC Milled 6061 Aluminum — Hand-Balanced in the USA: The DF3 is CNC milled entirely from 6061 aluminum, with eight bottom-mounted screws made from steel or tungsten in various densities to precisely dial in swing weight and Lie Angle Balance for every individual putter. Every head is assembled and hand-balanced at L.A.B. Golf's headquarters in Creswell, Oregon.
  • Extensive Customization — Built Exactly for Your Stroke: Standard-length builds range from 28 to 38 inches with lie angles spanning 63 to 79.5 degrees. ArmLock and Sweeper builds are available with increased head height (13% taller) and four additional weight ports to accommodate proper Lie Angle Balance at longer lengths. Remote fitting available.
  • Sound and Feel — A Dream on Every Green: Unlike previous Lie Angle Balanced designs where aesthetic and acoustic compromises were sometimes required, L.A.B. Golf made no such trade-offs with the DF3. It sets up clean, sounds like a dream at impact, and delivers the soft, buttery feel that makes every putt a pleasure to roll.
