Technology
The XXIO Prime 11 driver features a unique Rebound Frame. The Rebound Frame is an alternating pattern of stiff and flexible zones within the driver that focuses more energy into the golf ball. It increases ball speed and distance on every strike, especially center-face impacts. The XXIO Prime driver also uses a Star Frame rib structure to support a much thinner sole than previous generations. That thinner sole allowed for extra mass low and deep, producing a higher launch and adding forgiveness off the tee.
The Prime 11 metalwoods all feature shared technologies that make them better than ever. For off-center strikes with the driver, fairway woods, and hybrids, the new Flat Cup Face expands the high speed region of each club face, increasing your ball speed and distance. The metals also have a draw-biased face bulge. This new face curvature is slightly closed at the heel and open near the toe. The result is a gear effect that helps produce a right-to-left shot shape, even if the face is open at impact.
The Cannon Sole is included in XXIO Prime fairways and hybrids to improve launch and ball speed. Its unique floating sole weight is shaped like a cannon and allows for a larger Cup Face to be paired with a more flexible sole. The result is more distance, especially when hitting shots off the deck.
Each XXIO Prime driver, fairway wood, and iron club face is made from Super-TIX PLUS Titanium. This material is an incredibly strong yet lightweight alloy that adds speed to all your shots. Also, behind each iron face is the XXIO Twin Groove, a unique structure with two interior slots that increase ball speed on low-face strikes. This technology, combined with the Super-TIX PLUS Titanium face, offers a 110% larger sweet spot than previous generations for added speed, consistency, and distance to your iron shots.
A stepped sole featured in the irons reduces the contact area on the trailing edge of each iron sole, smoothing out turf interaction for more consistent contact from any lie.
Every club in the XXIO Prime 11 family is made with their signature Weight Plus technology. Weight Plus is a counterbalancing technology that places weights in the end of each shaft, located behind your hands as you grip the club. That grip weight helps push the club head up through your backswing for a more consistent top of swing position. As you begin the downswing, the weight brings your hands into position, keeping your arms closer to your body for a squarer face at impact.
Finally, every club is made to be incredibly lightweight. The new XXIO Prime SP-1100 Shaft is extremely lightweight to help produce more swing speed and distance with its smooth, easy-to-swing profile. The softer tip section also makes it easier to close the club face and strike the ball square.
