Titleist TSR Drivers Review by TGW
Technology
The Titleist TSR drivers design is embodied by the Titleist Speed Project, a 6-year pursuit of speed to find breakthroughs and distance gains in every way imaginable. The metals used in TSR include rare alloys employed by the likes of NASA and were chosen for one clear reason: they are the best performing on the planet. With unique properties in terms of strength, recoil, and durability, these materials contribute directly to the unrivaled performance of these drivers.
TSR drivers feature not one but two new Variable Face Thickness approaches. These variable face thickness designs each offer specific performance benefits that are precisely optimized for the exact swing type each model was created to serve. The new multi-plateau VFT construction builds the face inward, layer by layer, to create incredibly consistent speed and forgiveness across the entire club face. This approach is used in the TSR2 and TSR4 drivers.
The TSR3 driver uses Speed Ring VFT technology. Using a conical variable face thickness, Titleist engineers are able to focus the maximum speed area into one central point. This means the sweet spot is now even sweeter for golfers who consistently hit it every time. The refined SureFit Adjustable CG Track System makes it easier to position that focused hitting zone where you want it and dial in the exact setup you need to generate maximum ball speed and performance.
TSR4 provides adjustable weighting options to allow players to experiment with gaining distance through lower spin. The forward setting produces maximum spin reduction, while the back is more moderate – creating more of a TSR3.5 performance profile.
Each TSR driver also got an aerodynamic makeover. The shape of each club head is tuned for maximum performance for the type of player it is made for. Whether you are looking for maximum forgiveness, powerful distance, or greater control, there is a TSR made to match your swing.
Who It’s For
The TS2 driver is the perfect combination of speed and stability for maximum distance from both on- and off-center contact, now in a player-preferred shape. This driver is for golfers who want more speed and distance while still getting some forgiveness help.
Built on everything that made the TSi3 a favorite among professionals on Tour, the TSR3 driver is a player’s driver that allows you to dial in your performance with precision-tuned speed.
TSR4 is an ultra-low spin driver that offers two levels of spin control to create the most piercing ball flight possible. For players who generate spin rates higher than 3,000 rpm, less spin can mean more yards and the TSR4 driver is made for them.
If you want even more control to help make your driver fit your need, Titleist includes an adjustable SureFit hosel in each driver to fine tune launch and trajectory.
The Titleist TSR drivers are the latest innovation through the Titleist Speed Project. There is a brand new driver model for every golfer on the course with three options to choose from.
