Technology
The TaylorMade SIM UDI hybrid iron starts with a hollow body that creates a low and forward center of gravity. This gives the SIM UDI a powerful, penetrating trajectory. Then they put on a forged C300 steel face that is incredibly lightweight, thin, and strong for explosive speed. That forged face also features Inverted Cone Technology to enhance the sweet spot, protect ball speed all across the face, and promote straighter shots.
But the hollow body in the SIM UDI golf club doesn’t stay hollow. TaylorMade filled the head with their SpeedFoam injection, an ultra-light urethane foam that brings the club face up to the legal limits of speed while fine-tuning sound and feel at impact. That’s not the only signature TaylorMade technology included here. They also included their Thru Slot Speed Pocket on the sole of the UDI to maximize speed and forgiveness, especially on shots hit low on the face.

TaylorMade’s SIM UDI hybrid iron is made to be a versatile option at the top of the bag for skilled golfers. Similar to their P770 irons, this golf club will commonly be played by scratch golfers on up to about a 10 handicap.
