When PING set out to develop a second line of putters, their focus was on making golf clubs with pure, machined faces for a firmer, more responsive feel and added consistency. PING Heppler Putters Review
Technology
The story of the PING Heppler putters begins with the solid, machined face. Using a solid steel face gives these golf clubs a firmer feel at impact with pleasing sound and responsive feedback. Machine-milling the faces on these putters also provides a level of consistency that makes every club to PING’s precise specifications. In addition to milled steel, the mallets and mid-mallets are multi-material putters with cast aluminum in the heads that offer more forgiveness and optimal center of gravity locations for accuracy and consistency.
PING gave the Heppler putters a contrasting copper and black finish for a color scheme that provides visual alignment cues and looks great with no glare at address. With such a large variety of models to choose from, no matter if you prefer a blade with minimal alignment aids or a larger mallet that frames the ball and makes alignment easier, there is a shape for golfers of all types.
These putters include the same adjustable-length shaft technology PING first introduced in the Sigma 2 line. With the Heppler putters, the adjustable mechanism is located inside the grip and can be adjusted with any torque wrench. Each full turn of the mechanism adjusts the putter length by approximately a quarter of an inch. Every putter can be adjusted down to 32” or up to 36”.
