PING updated its popular Glide wedge with a new pro-level performance model. This is the PING Glide Forged Pro Raw wedge. Fully forged from 8620 carbon steel, these wedges have the soft feel better golfers want. The precision-machined face and grooves are raw and unfinished in this model meaning this club is designed to rust, imparting even more friction and spin throughout the life of the wedge. TGW takes you inside the technology and latest design to show how these new wedges can help your game.

Technology
PING Glide Forged Pro Raw wedges feature a traditional 8620 carbon steel forged construction. It all starts with an 8620 carbon steel body for that soft feel golfers love.
The club face and grooves are precision-milled for long-lasting spin and precise control that golfers need in their short game. Lower-lofted wedges (46° – 52°) feature a 20° sidewall milled to maximize groove volume while higher lofted wedges (54° – 60°) are milled with a 28° sidewall and tighter radius for more spin and precision on short shots and from the bunker.
The Forged Pro Raw model of these wedges is unique in that PING leaves them raw and unfinished. This means these golf clubs will rust with time and use. That buildup of rust helps to increase friction and spin over the life of the wedge meaning they perform better for longer and look really cool in your golf bag.
Glide Forged Pro Raw wedges are also available with 2 grind options to match your angle of attack and typical turf conditions to improve performance and versatility. The S (standard sole) grind features ample bounce and a rounded leading edge with trailing edge and heel relief, best fit for most swing types and turf conditions. The T (thin sole) grind features a higher leading edge bounce, a half-moon sole shape, and an increased center bounce width.
