Technology
Every PING G430 driver starts with an optimized TS9+ forged face to help boost ball speed. The shallower, variable-thickness face is thinner to create more face deflection for generating faster ball speed to generate PING’s biggest distance gains to date. In addition to more speed and distance, PING creates a more consistent spin performance that they call Spinsistency. This is done by utilizing a variable roll radius they first introduced in the G425 fairway woods and hybrids but have now fine-tuned to work for the new G430 drivers.
The G430 drivers also offer a new, pleasing sound when you strike the golf ball. A new internal rib structure and increased curvature of the crown, skirt and, sole fine tunes club head frequencies to produce a desirable sound and impact experience.
The MAX driver remains the most forgiving and fits the widest range of golfers. A 25-gram, high-density tungsten moveable backweight influences shot shape by up to 10 yards between the Draw, Neutral, and Fade settings. Loft is adjustable by 1.5° and lie up to 3° flat from standard using the 8-setting Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel.
Exclusive to the LST (Low Spin Technology) driver is Carbonfly Wrap, a lightweight composite that covers the crown and wraps into the heel and toe sections of the skirt to save weight and lower the center of gravity for more ball speed, less spin, and higher MOI. The 8-layer, one-piece composite saves four grams and weighs 11.5 grams. A moveable 22-gram, high-density tungsten backweight influences shot shape up to 7 yards between the Draw, Neutral, and Fade settings. At 440cc, the smaller Tour-style LST drivers has adjustable loft by 1.5° and lie up to 3° flat from standard and best fits faster swing speeds or those in need of lowering spin.
New to the SFT (Straight Flight Technology) head is a two-setting, moveable tungsten backweight (22g) that positions the center of gravity to deliver 13 yards of right-to-left shot bend in the Draw setting and another 7 yards in the Draw+ for 20 yards total. The loft is adjustable by 1.5° and up to 3° flat lie angle from standard.
Who It’s For
The PING G430 MAX driver is the driver made to fit the majority of golfers. With its incredible amounts of speed and forgiveness along with adjustable backweight to help fine-tune your preferred trajectory, most golfers will be able to confidently play this model.
The PING G430 LST driver is a little more specialized. This is a better players option for golfers who swing the club faster and need to reduce spin in order to get the most distance from their drives. There is still plenty of adjustability for those golfers who want to create their preferred shot shape.
The PING G430 SFT driver offers up even more game improvement performance. This option is for golfers who need help correcting a slice. It features up to 20 yards of draw bias and internal weighting to help straighten out those drivers that tend to curve off to the right.
Appearance
PING’s G430 drivers all feature a traditional look at address. A flat-black design looks great down by the golf ball and reduces distractions so you can focus on putting your best swing on the ball and getting amazing results.
