Technology
Odyssey Toulon putters feature a milled face rather than an insert like Odyssey is famous for. These golf clubs have a deep diamond groove milling pattern. Deep full-face grooves are designed to control sound and feel by channeling vibration. The face also features a medium-depth double fly cut to enhance forward roll and feel.
Every Toulon Design putter comes with a new two split-weight design that moves the weights forward, and toward the toe and heel. This positioning improves the inertia of the club head, while also improving the consistency and forward roll. All of this leads to speed consistency and a high level of performance in a more forgiving premium putter.
Finally, these putters utilize a new generation of multi-material Stroke Lab shafts. By shortening the steel section, Odyssey reduced the weight by 7 grams compared to the original Stroke Lab model. They also made it stiffer and more stable for even more consistency in stroke and performance.
Performance
We tested the Odyssey Toulon putters with the help of Rick Hatfield. Rick is TGW’s Master Fitter and our resident product expert. Our putter testing was conducted indoors at the TGW Pure Performance Center using Foresight Sports launch monitors. While using these putts, Rick found them to be great-feeling putters with a true forward roll and plenty of distance control.
