Mizuno M.Craft OMOI Putters – A New Heavyweight Contender On The Greens

Mizuno introduces a new evolution to the M.Craft putters. These are the new M.Craft OMOI putters. The new M.Craft OMOI introduces heavyweight stability to Mizuno’s forged putter line-up, already renowned for its precise looks and feel. The OMOI achieved its new level of stability by taking a view of the entire club. Mizuno balanced out the increased headweight with a lighter weight grip and shaft to shift the club’s center of gravity and help control face rotation through the putting stroke.

Technology

Mizuno M.Craft OMOI putters are forged from 1025 mild carbon steel using Mizuno’s signature process. Their precision CNC milling process consistently makes every putter to their exact specifications while the single-piece forging process delivers that signature soft feel, pleasing sound, and responsive feedback that Mizuno golf clubs are known for.

A deep face milling pattern creates even softer feel and pure forward roll to get your putts going on your intended target line faster and keeping them there.

In order to create more stable, more forgiving putters, Mizuno crated heavier club heads with dual weight ports. The #1 and #2 blade models feature 370-gram head weights while the #3 mallet model has a 383-gram head weight. Dual weight ports feature 8-gram weights installed with 3-gram and 13-gram weights included to fine-tune the mass of the putter to fit your preferred feel.

Finally, each Mizuno M.Craft OMOI putter features a KBS Tour Black Ion-plated shaft, Lamkin OMOI Sink Fit Pistol grip, and upgraded blacked-out M.Craft head cover. 

Performance

We handed the Mizuno M.Craft OMOI putters over to Rick Hatfield to try. Rick is TGW’s Master Fitter and resident product expert. Our putter testing was conducted indoors at the TGW Pure Performance Center using Foresight Sports launch monitors. Rick right away mentioned that the heavier head weights on these putters is noticeable and does its job of helping keep the face square at impact. He noted that this performance especially stands out on those shorter range putts that are a must-make for all golfers.

Who It’s For

The Mizuno M.Craft OMOI putters are designed for golfers who want a more stable, more forgiving experience on the greens and like the feel of a heavier putter. There are also 3 models to choose from to fit every golfer.

• The #1 blade model has 60° of toe hang and is best fit for golfers with a strong arc putting stroke.
• The #2 blade model has 40° of toe hang and is best fit for golfers with a slight arc putting stroke.
• The #3 mallet model is face-balanced and is best fit for golfers with a straight-back, straight-through putting stroke.

Appearance

Each Mizuno M.Craft OMOI putter features a classic shape available in three different finishes: white satin, blue ion, or black iron. There is a shape and color to fit the eye of every golfer who wants a more forgiving putter.

Feel & Sound

As a milled putter, the Mizuno OMOI lineup provides a solid feel and sound with plenty of responsive feedback. Thanks to Mizuno’s signature forging process and precision milling, these putters still feel soft yet solid with their 1025 mild carbon steel construction.
