Technology

Mizuno JPX 923 Tour irons are made from a single piece of 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel using the signature Grain Flow Forged HD process. Every iron is made to Mizuno’s exact specifications in their legendary facility located in Hiroshima, Japan. In addition the carbon material, Mizuno added a microlayer of copper between the base Nickel material and the outer Chrome layer for even softer feel.

They also created a new V-Chassis design for the JPX 923 Tour irons to enable an even thinner topline, preferred by more skilled golfers. Using Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology, the V-Chassis allows for a thinner topline while creating a more muscleback-like feel from a cavity back design which usually requires a thicker topline. Their engineers were also able to refine the scoring irons. The 6 iron through gap wedge feature a noticeably shorter blade length and a more compact profile.

The JPX Tour irons feature smoother turf interaction as well. A generously rolled trailing edge makes these irons more versatility for cleaner turf interaction on every shot from any lie. Then it is all finished off with Mizuno’s white-satin brush finish. This finish is non-reflective and Chrome-plated to reduce bright glare at address to keep you focused on the golf ball and making your best swing.

Who It’s For

The Mizuno JPX 923 Tour irons are made for pro-level players who demand the softest feel and maximum control. Further player enhancements are made to produce a muscleback feel and smooth turf interaction so the most skilled shot makers can create the shot they need with the feel they want. JPX Tour irons are Mizuno’s most-played iron model by professionals.
