Technology

Never before used in Cleveland’s CBX wedges, Zipcore is a new addition for CBX Full-Face 2. The proprietary, lightweight, and low-density core technology, Zipcore reduces vibrations while also perfecting the center of gravity location and boosting MOI for increased feel, control, consistency and forgiveness over the last generation.

A new, dynamic HydroZip blast and laser-milled line system creates roughness to enhance friction to maximize spin in any conditions and from anywhere around the green. Visually, RTX 6 ZipCore Wedge faces are more matte than the last generation, reducing glare at address and standing out more from the hosel and toe.

UltiZip grooves are sharper, deeper, and closer together to maximize spin. Sharper grooves cut through grass and debris so you get clean contact on the ball shot after shot. By making them deeper, things like sand, dirt, and water are channeled away from the face. Finally, with the grooves closer together, they squeezed two more grooves onto each clubface for maximum bite on the ball.

The second generation of CBX Full-Face wedges allows golfers to hit more extreme, open-face shots with a larger face size, the largest contact area ever on a CBX wedge. More face means more grooves from hosel-to-toe and more forgiveness, no matter where you strike it.

A new full sole design on the 50°–52° lofts provides forgiving performance on full swing shots. For the C-shaped sole featured on 54°–60° lofts, Cleveland engineers added bounce in the center yet shaved material off the heel for the ideal combination of forgiveness and versatility. Every loft also features a new bounce chamfer near the leading edge to reduce chunking around the green.

Who It’s For

Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 wedges are designed for golfers who play cavity back irons to have a more forgiving, premium option in their wedges with maximum spin, forgiveness, and control. The design of the wedge allows you to manipulate the face and hit any type of shot you need while the grooves all the way across and the higher toe give you a larger effective hitting area. Even if you don’t hit every shot square, you will see improved results thanks to the design. These wedges also appeal to more golfers by taking the guesswork out of picking the right bounce or grind.

Appearance

Cleveland’s CBX Full Face 2 wedges have a unique look that you won’t find on many wedges. The shape stands out with its high toe and visually it makes you confident in opening up the club face. We also immediately noticed the milling and grooves on every millimeter of the club face. That appearance lets you know you will get the best spin and control no matter where you make contact with the golf ball.

Feel & Sound

The Cleveland CBX Full Face wedges offer a pleasing sound and feel that is comparable to other wedges on the market today. They offer a soft feel at impact with great feedback so you can control your wedge shots around the green.
