To create a true breakthrough in performance, Callaway’s engineers have re-imagined how a fairway wood is constructed. For golfers, it’s a total Paradym shift in distance and forgiveness. This completely new construction eliminates weight from the body and re-positions it for unprecedented gains in speed and forgiveness. Plus, each of the 3 different models has been uniquely designed with a specific player in mind to fully maximize their performance. Learn all about it in TGW’s Callaway Paradym fairway wood review.
Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood Review
Technology
Callaway starts each Paradym fairway wood with their A.I.-designed Jailbreak Batwing structure. This version pushes the structure out to the perimeter to stiffen the body while allowing the face to flex more in order to produce faster ball speeds.
Callaway also applied an all new A.I. face optimization to include speed, launch, and spin. The unique face pattern is customized for each model and paired with their high-strength C300 maraging steel face cup. This promotes impressive speed and consistency across the entire club face.
All 3 of the Paradym fairway wood models include Callaway’s Tungsten Speed Cartridge. Additional tungsten weight allows the center of gravity to be pushed low and forward. The result is optimal launch and spin, with more speed for maximum distance. The Paradym fairway includes up to 23 grams of tungsten while the Paradym Triple Diamond model features up to 21 grams along with up to 25 grams in the Paradym X fairway wood.
Unique to the Paradym and Paradym X models is a Forged Carbon sole. This inclusion of carbon on the sole enables unprecedented weight redistribution for maximized distance, higher MOI, and Callaway’s longest fairway wood ever. Callaway utilizes the carbon sole in the Paradym 3, 3 HL, and 5 woods as well as the 3 and 3HL woods for the Paradym X option.
Who It’s For
The Callaway Paradym fairway wood features progressive shaping and is the most robust offering that fits a wide range of player types. This is the model for golfers who want a high-launching fairway wood with a neutral ball flight.
The Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond model is the most compact fairway wood shape with a deeper face at address. This option is best suited for more skilled golfers who are looking for a penetrating ball flight with lower spin.
The Paradym X fairway wood will fit players looking for the most forgiving shape with a high launch and a slight draw bias. A Forged Carbon toe patch redistributes weight to the heel to make this fairway easy to turn over.
Appearance
The Callaway Paradym fairways feature a traditional look at address with Callaway’s signature shape for both game improvement and players models. The Paradym color scheme features a blend of black and dark blue graphics that limit distractions down by the golf ball.
