Technology
The adidas Codechaos 21 golf shoes are made with Primeblue material in the knit uppers. Primeblue is part of a sustainability initiative by adidas to help reduce plastic waste in the ocean. The uppers of the Codechaos 21 spikeless golf shoes are made with at least 50% recycled Parley ocean plastic. This material creates the adidas Primeknit upper which is lightweight, flexible, and supportive while offering waterproof protection. These shoes come with a one-year waterproof warranty.
adidas included their full-length Boost Foam material to cushion every step with all-around comfort and maximum energy return throughout every round. Then they added their Torsion X stability bar for tour-level support and a stable base every time you swing. Inside the shoe, an INSITE sockliner adds comfortable fit and balance.
This game-changing design includes the spikeless outsole. adidas’s Z-Traxion outsole is made from a combination of soft, durable rubber with a one-of-a-kind TPU insert. They call this traction system Twistgrip. To create this technical traction layout, adidas studied heat maps of golfers’ swings to focus on the way players shift their weight. Those results led to the TPU insert in the forefoot where golfers rotate their foot while using the softer rubber in the heel and outer foot.
