Q & A

Callaway PM Grind 19 Chrome Wedge

Callaway's PM Grind 19 wedges come to the golf course with an incredible pedigree, co-created by Phil Mickelson and Roger Cleveland. For 2019, these two legends worked to improve the PM grind to make it easier to hit three essential shots: the Knockdown (low-flying, high-spinning shot to attack the pin), the Hit & Check (a short pitch that bounces twice and stops), and the "Phlop" (that high-flying green-side shot Phil made famous). Featuring Callaway's Groove-in-Groove Technology, micro-grooves are machined into the flat parts of the face, parallel to the standard grooves, to generate more spin on chips, pitches, and lobs. The 2019 models have more offset and an even higher toe to raise the center of gravity to align with the impact point to help golfers better control trajectory. They are also made with the C-Grind sole with generous relief in the heel and toe to promote crisp, clean contact from all types of green-side lies.

  • Groove-in-Groove Technology machines the micro-grooves at a 20° angle to the standard grooves to add spin on chips, pitches, and lob shots
  • Higher toe raises the center of gravity, combined with increased offset helps golfers control trajectory on all types of wedge shots
  • C-Grind sole promotes crisp, clean contact from a variety of lies around the green with generous relief in the heel and toe areas
  • Tour-proven KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 steel wedge shaft delivers the ideal balance of feel, spin, and control
  • Premium Lamkin UTX grip in black with green accents
  • Platinum chrome finish

Callaway PM Grind 19 Chrome Wedge 10.0 KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Upgrade I replaced 15 year old worn wedges and immediately knew I should have made change years ago! No question, this club will improve my short game. Very forgiving and accurate in comparison. Extremely satisfied. The 54* is looking to be a bag favorite and the 60* is much more workable than expected. I was comfortable with the Vokey's but wasn't completely sold. Very glad I went this direction instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game improver Has a heavier feel than past Mac daddy wedges and for short shots requires adjustment form previous wedges, So, the ball seems to jump off the face with high spin. I needed practice , before taking to the course.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This club is "MAGIC" I'm a Callaway guy for many years but had their wedges and replaced them with Vokey's 54 and 58 degree wedges. They were great but I was never comfortable with opening the face for higher shots let alone flop shots around the green. I felt the head was too small and the area for groves was limited. Then Callaway introduced the PM grind wedge with a bigger head and groves across the full face of the club. I was intrigued and bought it without having swung it in a store. I'm left handed and stores don't always stock left handed wedges. The 60/12 wedge arrived and I tried it today at the range and compared it to my 58 Vokey. WOW, what a difference. It is a confidence builder on all shots especially ones where you open the face fully! It is easy to hit very high flop shots, low check spinners and to vary the height on chips and pitches. Phil's tutorial on YouTube is fantastic on this subject! I was TOTALY amazed at how easy this club was to hit and how accurate and versatile it is. It is truely several clubs in one. Although the Vokey wedges are great they have gotten too consumed with too many grinds for their wedges causing confusion for the average golfer. Callaway has made it so simple and the dual bounce is very effective for the shot makers. If you are a high handicapper this club will work great for you and allow you the option to try different shots with success. I'm a 75 yo 11hcp who practices as much as I play. This club is a dream come true and so much fun to swing. Success brings confidence and this club helps in both areas. Some golfers have given names to their favorite clubs. Ben Crenshaw called his putter "Littel Ben". I'm calling my 60/12 "Magic"!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for me since the first shot I hit. I was using Taylor Made. Tried some time ago with Mc Daddy and it didn’t work for me. With these I could hit good shots from the very beginning. I bought 60* first and then all the others. Very very satisfied. Otherwise I wouldn’t waste my time writing this review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the wedges, though I did order them 3/4" longer with grips built up. I received them standard length and regular grip. Love the wedges. Although I still like the appearance, the wedges are bulkier than I imagined. Feel is great, club gives you confidence behind the ball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The wedge that changed the wedge! picked up the 60/12. practiced on the front 9, 'phlopping' over bunkers and other shots around the green. it likes to have an open face; slightly open for longer flops, wide open for tight pins. flopped one over some trees and landed close to the pin. just amazing how easy this club is to work. i take it back, let gravity start the downswing, and swing smoothly. i did not have a single mishit. also, i'm playing the magna in yellow. great combo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have the 60 degree and 54 degree with stock kbs shaft. 60 is perfect out of the sand. 54 is great off the turf. These wedges are perfect for me. The kbs 2.0 stock shaft plays as regular flex. I have a moderate swing speed and the shaft has great feel along with the club face. I am telling all players with a moderate swing speed to try the wedges with the stock shaft. Very accurate with great feel. Best wedges out there on the market.
