TaylorMade Spider Tour Black Putter

Sleek Design, Tour-Proven Roll

The choice for many of the best players in the world, TaylorMade Spider Tour putters are modern mallets that features enhanced perimeter weighting to provide more stability at impact and better performance on mis-hits. They features TaylorMade’s Pure Roll insert, which combines 45-degree grooves and soft polymer to create incredible feel and more topspin, the latter of which gets the ball rolling more quickly for improved distance and speed control. Additionally, there are no sightlines on the crown of the Spider Tour Black putter for players who prefer a completely clean look at address. Also of note, while this is a modern mallet design, the Spider Tour Black is not face balanced like many mallets and actually has 38 degrees of toe hang, which means it will work best for players with a moderate or slight arc in their putting stroke.

TaylorMade Spider Tour Black Putter features:

  • Head Design: Modern Mallet
  • Head Weight: 355 grams
  • Loft: 3.5 degrees
  • Lie Angle: 70 degrees
  • Toe Hang: 38 degrees
  • Offset: Half shaft
  • Length options: 34, 35 inches
  • Grip: Winn AVS Midsize Pistol
  • Pure Roll insert delivers soft feel and more topspin, which reduces skidding
  • Perimeter weighting delivers more stability and forgiveness at impact
  • Removed sightlines for a perfectly clean look at address, which is intended to create more focus
  • Available in right-hand only
  • Includes headcover

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Price I bought this putter last month and I should have done it years ago. Great putter at a GREAT price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to line up putts Lowered my number of putts per hole with this putter

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look and nice feel I got this putter a month age and rolled the ball nicely. My only issue is it feels a little light for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Forgiving putter Even though this putter doesn’t have a sight line, it’s by far the most forgiving putter I’ve ever owned. It’s definitely more forgiving than my bladed Scotty Cameron putters. It is a really good putter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great putter: excellent upgrade from my Spider Mallet It only took me one round to get used to not having a sightline. 3rd round using it I shot 73 with 22 putts! Now I realize how easy this thing is to aim. Face feels great and rolls great too. I definitely prefer the sound and feel of this putter, the Spider Tour red feels too soft and has a muted sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tour Spider Black Putter Have putted with a blade for 20+ years and this is the first mallet style putter that suits my eye and putting stroke. The putter also has an awesome feel making distance control a snap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save me 5 putts per round !! My wife started using TaylorMade Spider Red from this season and convinced me to get it for myself. I took advantage of Free 2nd day air shipping offer from TGW. So, I could use it on the course on the weekend. I have been using it for 3 rounds. The result is clear that I reduced 5 puts / round. I made over 30 foot birdie for the first time. TaylorMade Spider is very stable especially in your take back stroke. It gives you a confidence in putting. Newer version has a Winn putter grip which is thicker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Putter This putter has great balance and the ball rolls straight off the face. Great looking putter too, looking down at the matte black finish just gives you confidence. Added a SuperStroke grip and now its the perfect putter.

how do you decide on length 34 or 35 in

Asked by: tk0139
Stand in front of a mirror or have some one help you. Address a ball with two of the same putters one of 34 inch length and one of 35 inch length. Chose the one that lets the sole of the putter sit flat on the floor without the toe or heel off the floor. Be sure and use two of the same putters for the test. Different putters have different lie angles. The lye angle of a particular putter will affect the length you need.

What is the difference between the black vs red

Asked by: Farm
The other answer is wrong. The inserts are different with the black the firmest being made from 80% aluminum and 20% surlyn. The red versions insert is much softer than the black being made from almost a 100% surlyn..

What is the weight of the weights in this putter.

Asked by: mark1953
This answer is wrong. The stock weights that come in the red and black versions weigh 2 grams each for a total of 4 grams added to the weight of the head.
