Q & A
Priority No. 1 for Srixon when it came to designing the Z F65 fairway woods was to give golfers maximum distance. That was accomplished by utilizing the Stretch Flex Cup Face in the design, technology found in Z 65 drivers, as by stretching the clubface to cover sections of the crown and sole, the face will create higher ball speeds on solidly struck shots as well as those hit from the heel or toe and high or low on the face. Additionally, while these are fairway woods that deliver from a distance standpoint, they’re also easy to launch, and the higher launch is created in different ways depending on loft. The F65 fairway woods come in lofts of 13, 15, 17, and 19 degrees. In the three strongest lofts, a crown step is utilized in the design to lower the CG for higher launch and optimal spin. Those same performance attributes are also available in the 5-wood (19 degrees), but they’re achieved through the use of an Arc Support Channel that’s built into the crown. Also of note, the F65 fairway woods have a slightly larger profile than their predecessors, which was done to help make them more forgiving and to inspire confidence from players at address. The stock shaft for the Z F65 fairway woods is the Miyazaki Kaula 6, which weighs between 62 and 66 grams depending on flex and from a profile standpoint will produce mid-launch and mid-spin. Other premium shaft options are available as well at no upcharge.

Players of all ability levels. In the Z F65 fairway woods, golfers can expect clubs that are easy to hit and easy to launch without giving up anything in terms of distance. That combination is made possible not only by the technological innovation of the F65, but also by its slightly larger profile, which will help improve performance from the fairway or a tee. All said, from a playability standpoint, the Z F65s deliver what pretty much every golfer wants in a fairway wood, which is why they’re likely to be a popular choice among high- and low-handicappers alike.

The clubface has been extended to cover portions of the crown and sole to create a larger sweet spot for enhanced forgiveness and faster ball speeds.
The crown step helps lower the center of gravity in the 3- and 4-woods to produce high launch, low spin, and maximum distance.
A channel in the crown of the 5-wood helps creates higher launch conditions and optimal spin rates from impact points across the face.
“Our Z F65 fairway wood, latest generation, offering performance and playability for a wide range of players. A nice compact shape (but) a little bit larger than the previous generation to suit a wider range of players and inspire confidence at address.”
