PING Men's G400 Max Driver ALTA CB Regular Left 10.5 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 95.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ping G400 Max I purchased this PING G400MAX 9* about a month ago. My previous driver was a PING Anser 9*. I chose the TOUR 65 shaft as an option, but it was not to my liking. It was just too light for me. I tend to prefer heavier shafts in the 72g to 75g range, with a torque range around 2.5 to 2.9. I switched out the shaft to a PROJECT X HZRDUS BLACK 6.0, which fit my swing better. It took me a few times at the range, and a games on the course to get use to this PING G400MAX. I really like it. It's a lot more forgiving than my ANSER, even mis-hits seem to fly. I would definitely recommend driver to anyone. My alternative was the TAYLORMADE M4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the look and feel I got my 400 max last Friday and have played two rounds. I use to slice the ball 4 or 5 times a round but not now. I am hitting it straighter and average 15 yards more distance..The ball flies off the club face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major improvement I bought a demo at season end that I had tried three times before and compared to others. This purchase resulted in a major improvement to my accuracy and length (20 yards +) and I am able to draw the ball much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than advertised I am a single digit hdcp but was always the short hitter off the tee until I bought my G400. The added distance and confidence in hitting it in the fairway has changed my game. Solid feel and good distance even on offcenter hits. Hit the sweet spot and watch it go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Technology I just retired my 10.5 degree g15 and replaced it with the G400Max. There were major improvements. My push is now a slight draw to the fairway. More hit fairways than ever before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from straight down the middle. I' m 71 and cannot hit it as far. So, I wanted accuracy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and forgiving I tested a lot of drivers and the G400 max was the longest and the most accurate. Best driver I've ever owned.

i am 73 yrs old, swing speed avg 70-75 mph, driving the ball 180 to 210 yards, I want to purchase the G400 max. Can you suggest shaft and shaft length for me? I would like less spin as possible, thank you

Asked by: rich b
We would recommend using Pings nFlight Web fitting guide or seeing a local golf club fitter or professional for best results. You may find the Ping fitting guide here http://nflightweb.ping.com/#ready

My swing speed is 90 miles an hour. I am left handed, what is the best stock shaft for me?

Asked by: Ghostman69
The stock CB ALTA shaft would be a good recommendation. However, we do also recommend seeing a local club fitter or professional for best fit. The Alta CB is a mid-trajectory shaft that’s counter balanced to offset the higher head weight. The Tour 65 shaft is for players who want a heavier shaft, lower ball flight, and less spin.

Do you offer a choice of grips with these drivers? I am 67 and all my clubs have oversize grips. If so, how do I order that?

Asked by: William
You can currently custom order this driver with your desired specs by clicking the custom tab located just above the image.

I bought G400 with Alta shaft. I like 10.5 degrees loft. Currently my driver speed is around 95mph. What shaft do you recommend? I would like to stay with Alta shaft

Asked by: Kruno
If you would like to stay with the Alta, as far as shaft flex goes, below is a general guide for selecting your flex based on swing speed. However, we do recommend being fitted with a professional for the best fit. Senior - 70-80 mph Regular - 80-90 mph Stiff - 90-100 mph X-Stiff - 100+ mph

I am a 20 handicap.  Off tee 190 but in fairway.  What shaft,  regular or soft regular on the Ping 400 max with 10.5 loft.

Asked by: Dankell
As a guide here are the recommended flex for Driver length (YDS) 130-210 and swing speed between 70-80mph a soft regular shaft is recommended. For regular flex recommended flex for Driver Length (YDS) 210-235 and swing speed being between 80-90mph. For best results we recommend seeing a local club fitter.

what is the difference in the available shafts in g440 max

Asked by: lil dago
The two stock graphite shafts are the ALTA CB 55 and the Tour 65 shafts. The ALTA CB shaft is a lighter shaft. The Tour-spec shaft is fit better for the golfer who wants less spin and lower trajectory. You can see the full shaft specs listed in the product description. Also we have a video posted on the shafts just below the images, feel free to view the video.

I'm left handed female who uses men's senior clubs. This club was highly recommended. Do you have a recommended shaft length for females - height 5'-7". Handicap 21. Long ball hitter. What customization would you recommend for females?

Asked by: FemaleCT
We would recommend using the fitting guide as it will ask you for wrist to floor measurement. The 'Fitting Guide" tab is located just above the image of the driver on the product page.
