Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tested all the G400/Max Drivers... Results I was in the market to replace my TM M3 (horrible club) and had hit a Ping driver and loved the feel and sound of the club (I also play Ping iBlades so liked keeping the bag in the 'family'). Stopped in at local Ping fitter and tested out the entire line-up that Ping offers. I am a scratch golfer, 110 MPH swing speed, carry the drive anywhere between 280 - 300 and rollout to 290 - 315 (depending on Course conditions) I tested all the Ping drivers with my own custom made Hzrdus Yellow 75 S shaft. 15 drives with each club. Order of testing Max G400 SFT G400 G400 LST Results. G400 Max - worst driver of the bunch. Not only did it have the lowest distance I found that the shot dispersion was all over the map. Mind you I had taped the face and hit the ball in the exact spot on each drive. Left, right, middle, there was no real control over where the ball went. Also, unlike the other heads in the model line, the Max felt like a hard brick hitting the ball. It was not pleasant at all. No feel. Perhaps I am much better player than what this head is designed for? was super disappointed in the performance as I was really wanting to like this club. G400 - Was marginally better than the Max. Again the distance was a bit disappointing. The shot dispersion was much more closer grouped than the max. The feel of this club was excellent. Now for the best two in the line up..... G400 LST - A pretty darn good club that does what it says. It got my spin rate way down, on most of them I was spinning between 1900 - 2100. This was definitely the longest hitting club but only because of the rollout that the lower spin created; otherwise it was the second of longest for carry. Again, loved the feel of the club face on the ball. Hit the 8.5 and 10 loft, wasn't much difference for me between the two. The winner, and what I purchased G400 SFT 10 loft. All I can say is that for me, my swing, this was MONEY. Not only did I hit this furthest on carry, but overall average of total drives was the longest of the other 3. The shot dispersion was tight, 15 drives, all within 10 yards of the center line - frankly most of the shots were literally right down the middle. I felt I could really rip into this, which I did on a few hits, and it performed perfectly, straight drives, great height, long distance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where did my slice go?? I’m a 20 hdcpr. Went out golfing with a friend. I shot 51 on the front. I saw he had a new driver the ping G400. Borrowed it...shot 39 on the back. Hit every drive dead straight. Bought one as soon as I got home. I call it the “The Hammer of Thor”. Feels like swinging a club should feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional feel and performance After doing extensive research and club testing I decided to go with the G400 Max 460cc club head with the 10.5 degree loft after years of playing a 445cc driver. Without swinging harder the ball jumps off the face and goes where you aim it. A smooth swing will give you exceptional results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SFT VS G400 Max Love this club!!! I have been using G30 SFT, which is a great driver but sometimes I would put a good swing on the ball and over drawl, missing fairway and losing distance. I tested m4 type d, was hitting Gmax 10-15 yards farther in hitting bays at the store and the address was much nicer when you set the club behind the ball. I’m not one to write reviews but I love this driver and I’ve tried them all! Misses are misses but I’m not losing any distance on slight misses and still hugging the fairway. I got the tour shift and hitting a baby drawl! Love the feel and sound!!! Not as loud as G30SFT, but enhanced feel for sure!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Forgiving and long Even shots that aren't really in the sweet spot usually travel very well and head towards the fairway.
