PING Men's G Hybrid

Long And Forgiving

The G hybrid, like many other products in the G line, was created to deliver high launch, greater distance, and maximum forgiveness. PING engineers were able to build the G hybrid with a lightweight crown that allowed the CG (center of gravity) to be moved lower and deeper in the clubhead, which leads to optimal launch, increased MOI, and lower spin rates. Additionally, the G hybrid’s face construction delivers faster ball speeds from impact points across the face. PING offers five different lofts -- 17, 19, 22, 26, and 30 -- in the G hybrid series so that golfers have multiple options in terms of replacing different irons in their bags.

Ideal For:

Golfers who are looking to replace long irons in their bag with something that’s easier to launch and delivers significant distance. That description would cover 99 percent of the golfing population, meaning a G hybrid (or two) would be a solid addition for most anyone. Of course, many golfers are still looking to hit their hybrids exact distances, so a fitting would be recommended by PING because of the incredible distances the G produces.

Carpenter 455 Face

The materials used to construct the face are exceptionally strong but also extremely light, which makes for a clubface that flexes more to deliver high launch and fast ball speeds across the face.

Crown Turbulators

As with the G driver, turbulators provide some assistance in reducing drag, but in the hybrid they also serve as alignment and setup aids, better framing the center of the clubface for players.

Tiered Internal Sole

This innovative feature activates the clubface to flex properly during the swing to ensure faster ball speeds.

What They're Saying...

“What we really tried to focus (on) with the G hybrid was delivering that distance, being able to hit the ball really high with the appropriate amount of spin, so that player that needs a replacement for their long iron is going to have the potential to hit those high shots that land softly on the green.”

Ryan Stokke, PING Design Engineering Manager

What Players Like You Are Saying...

“The G-series hybrid, well, that’s just like cheating. That’s all I can tell you, literally. The dispersion was very small.”

TGW customer Barton, 1 handicap, live testing at PING, 3/7/16

“The hybrids, if I could, I would buy them all right now. From the very first swing, I mean, I was just smashing these things down the range. The best thing I’d say was just the consistency.”

TGW customer Anthony, 12 handicap, live testing at PING, 3/7/16

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Longer and easier to hit Bought this to replace an aging 16* hybrid. This one carries about 30 yards further and is easier to hit. Glad I made this purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ping Has Only 30° Hybrid I was searching for a hybrid with more than 27° of loft. Ping is only mfg that has one available. Hit 3 out of 3 par3 greens the first time I used it. Great for any senior golfer because it is so easy to hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding hybirds Generally I'm not all that excited about Ping hybrids, having owned some over the years. I have to give a double thumbs up to these Ping Gs. They get the ball up in the air and long and are forgiving so there's not much more you could as for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Hybrid Bought this club thinking it would be easier to hit than 5 wood and provide the same distance. Boy did it do the trick ! Was hitting a G25 5 wood 220 yards with "on the money hits" 75% of the time. Hit this 3 hybrid "on the money" 90%of the time. If you don't have one of these in your bag you're missing out...........Big League !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hybrid on the market! I like my long irons. I am using the new Ping E1 irons and they don't offer a two iron so I opted for the Ping G hybrid 2-iron. I love it! I might buy the 3 as well. It goes very straight which most hybrids do not. Very consistent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power with forgiveness I have played over 20 rounds with this club in the bag. I got it add a club for 180+ yard shots. It has allowed me to be more accurate with these length shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good investment The G hybrids are a must have. Only wish ping also made a 7,8,9,PW hybrid. Who needs irons anyway.
Date published: 2016-07-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feeling club I high recommend this club to anyone. I have a 10 handicap and really like the feel/balance of this club. I took out on the course without getting a chance to practice with it and hit the maiden shot flush. The loft also really makes it easy to hit long out of medium rough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite club in the bad I have a 4 hybrid and it's the easiest most forgiving reliable club I have. My only problem with its reliability is I try and use the club too much for different distances I love love love it
