Odyssey Putters

Odyssey has long been one of the elite putter manufacturers in golf and that reputation was only enhanced when Callaway took over the company in 1997. Since that time, Odyssey has become one of the market leaders when it comes to putters and a favorite among recreational players and touring professionals.

Since 2010 alone, Odyssey putters have been in the bag for more than 450 professional wins and more than $700 million in earnings. Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson, and Patrick Reed are just a small sampling of the myriad of PGA Tour players who have Odyssey putters in their bags.

One of the reasons that Odyssey has been so popular is that within each of the various families it has released through the years, the company has always offered a number of different design options to meet the needs of players with different types of putting strokes. And when it comes to putting, matching up your putter and your putting stroke is a key component in having success on the greens.

Most typically, players who have significant arcs in their putting stroke will benefit from blade-style putters, such as long-time Odyssey family favorites like the #1 and #9. Players who have smaller arcs in their putting stroke will usually fare well with some blade styles or mid-mallets, with Odyssey’s famed 2-Ball putter being a great example of a good fit for a slight arc. Players who prefer putting with a straight back, straight through approach, meanwhile, often fare best with face balanced putters, such as Odyssey’s Tour favorite #7 or new V-line series putters.
