Q & A

Titleist Men's TS3 Driver

  • Titleist developed the new TS3 driver through a mission to create speed from every detail of the club, called the Titleist Speed Project.
  • By stripping away everything and completely rebuilding their driver design, Titleist developed the Speed Chassis.
  • The Speed Chassis encompasses all of the features that make this driver faster, longer, and every bit as accurate as ever.
  • It starts with the thinnest titanium crown Titleist can make, shifting weight lower and deeper for an optimal center of gravity location.
  • The variable thickness face is thinner and faster than ever, 100% inspected to maximize ball speed at impact.
  • A new streamlined shape reduces drag by 20% for more club head speed.
  • Titleist's SureFit CG system allows you to opimize spin, launch, and shot shape for personalized performance.
  • The TS3 driver is ideal for golfers who wanted increased distance through speed and dynamic forgiveness with adjustability and the performance to shape their shot off the tee.

Ultra-Thin Titanium Crown

Ultra-Thin Titanium Crown

Part of the new Speed Chassis design, the TS3 driver has the thinnest titanium crown Titleist has made, allowing weight to be moved lower and deeper for a center of gravity that produces high launch and low spin.

Thinner, Faster Face

Thinner, Faster Face

A thinner variable thickness face is another crucial part of the Speed Chassis design. It provides faster ball speed and more forgiveness. Every club face is inspected to strict tolerances to maximize the allowable spring-like effect.

New Streamlined Shape

The new shape reduces drag by 20% to increase club head speed for even more distance.

SureFit CG

The TS3 driver still includes the SureFit CG system to optimize spin and launch with ehanced shot shaping to match the way you play off the tee.

Shafts Options

Choose from four great stock shaft options providing different desired ball flights and spin. Click the Customs Tab if you already have a desired shaft in mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Club I bought the TS3 driver a few weeks ago and I am glad I did. It has improved my golf game tremendously. I take the same swing as usual and my ball goes 20 yards further. You can't dispute those facts!! This club is the real deal!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot! My TS3 just arrived a week ago, and if the first couple of rounds proved anything... It’s Hot! Easy to compare where I’m usually coming into greens from, to where I’m coming in from with the TS3.... Almost every driver hole, I’m one to two clubs closer! Plus, it was very easy to tune in. Being familiar with the Titleist sure-fit system, just a couple of clicks and I was right where I wanted it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love at first Strike!!! Have played Titleist Drivers for 16 years and it was love at first strike. The TS3 is the real deal, the on-course performance was equal to or better than the numbers in my fitting session. Shot dispersion was tight, hit 10 of 14 fairways. I should note I was playing a resort course so the fairways were fairly generous. Two of my misses were primary cut, literally a couple of feet off the fairway, the other two were just bad swings, pushes. Had a couple of strikes towards the toe, loss in distance 5 - 8 yards and offline about 8 yards max, definitely more forgiving than my 917 D3. Nice active feel off the Driver face and very gratifying sound, I felt very comfortable and confident on the tee box. The Project X Even Flow T1100 White 75 (Flex 6.0) felt smooth and solid, nice feedback, trajectory was slightly lower than with my Mitsubishi Diamana Ltd D+ White 70 shaft in my 917. All in all I’m extremely pleased and excited with the performance of the TS3, as I said before, in my opinion hands down the best Titleist Driver I have played.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it a lot! Learning how to hit this driver has been a quick process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Competes with other current drivers on the market I upgraded from a 913 D2. The TS3 is less spinny and forgiving which means better dispersation, more accurate, and longer for me.

What does the 6.0 and 6.5 mean for shaft flex choice?

Asked by: Lenny
Project X shafts are sometimes listed with this number rating instead of the traditional labels. For these shafts, 6.0 is more like a stiff flex while 6.5 is more like an extra stiff flex.

My swing speed is about 100, what shaft grade/number would you recommend?

Asked by: Jerry
Based on swing speed, we would recommend a stiff flex shaft.

What is right for me?  TS2 or TS3, and In which shaft?

Asked by: Erik
This will depend on somewhat on your swing and what performance you are trying to get from your driver. If you're looking for a driver that provides speed, distance, and forgiveness, you may want the TS2 driver. We like to call it the "point-and-shoot" option. The TS3 driver is for the player who wants that speed and forgiveness, but with the option to fine-tune and personalize the way it plays. The adjustable CG allows you to make it fit the shot shape and trajectory you are trying to achieve.

I am interested in both Titleist TS2 and TS3. Which driver would be better for mid/high handicap ?

Asked by: Phil
For a mid to high handicap golfer, if you want more forgiveness and are not so much concerned with working the ball, you may want the TS2 driver.

I’m looking to purchase a new Titleist TS3 Driver with a 9.5 loft and stiff shaft. I’m reasonably certain you wouldn’t ship this club without it’s club head cover, but I didn’t see it in the description. Is the cover included?

Asked by: Mark V
Yes, the head cover is included.
