Q & A

Titleist Men's TS2 Driver

  • Titleist developed the TS2 driver through a mission to create speed from every detail of the club, called the Titleist Speed Project.
  • By stripping away everything and completely rebuilding their driver design, Titleist developed the Speed Chassis.
  • The Speed Chassis encompasses all of the features that make this driver faster, longer, and every bit as accurate as ever.
  • It starts with the thinnest titanium crown Titleist can make, shifting weight lower and deeper for an optimal center of gravity location.
  • The variable thickness face is thinner and faster than ever, 100% inspected to maximize ball speed at impact.
  • A new streamlined shape reduces drag by 20% for more club head speed.
  • The TS2 driver is ideal for golfers who want explosive distance and maximum forgiveness, utilizing their lowest center of gravity ever to produce higher launch and less spin.

  • Speed Chassis design
  • Ultra-thin titanium crown
  • Thinner, faster club face
  • New streamlined shape
  • Optimized weighting for high launch and low spin
  • SureFit hosel for independent loft and lie adjustments
Ultra-Thin Titanium Crown

Ultra-Thin Titanium Crown

Part of the new Speed Chassis design, the TS2 driver has the thinnest titanium crown Titleist has made, allowing weight to be moved lower and deeper for a center of gravity that produces high launch and low spin.

Thinner, Faster Face

Thinner, Faster Face

A thinner variable thickness face is another crucial part of the Speed Chassis design. It provides faster ball speed and more forgiveness. Every club face is inspected to strict tolerances to maximize the allowable spring-like effect.

New Streamlined Shape

The new shape reduces drag by 20% to increase club head speed for even more distance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Distance Driver from Titleist Get fitted before you buy. I was looking at the TS3 more because the head is a more traditional shape. The TS2 looks more like the heads of the Callaway Rogue and Epic Drivers. My numbers were better on the TS2 so I bought it. I definitely got more distance and carry than the previous 917 D2 model. This club is about an inch longer than the 917 D2. The one thing I really like about this driver is that you really feel like you can rip through the hitting zone without holding back. Big miss use to be a hook but now it is a block with this club I had an exotic shaft on my previous 917 D2 model and put that shaft (1 inch shorter) on the TS2 but my spin numbers were high and I could tell I wasn't getting the same type of distance. Best numbers and results I had was with the Hazardous Smoke 60 Stiff shaft. It is important that you try it out with different shafts to get the one that fits you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Titleist driver yet! I bot this driver a month ago and have played about three rounds with it. Works great, longer than my older Titleist driver by ten yards easily. I bot the fujikura speeder 661 in stiff with the 9.5 degree head. Driver definitely flies the ball very straight too. I play to a six and don't really work the ball a ton so this driver is perfect for me. I was able to trade in my older driver that I loved with out any regrets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent driver. This driver is very solid. I have purchased Titelist drivers before and been very satisfied. This driver is great at setup and adjustments make it easier to match my swing dynamics. I got better distance and trajectory than the D17. I feel confident it will work for my game and give me faster ball speed

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average I have the old 915 driver so thought this one with the 50 g shaft would add distance but it’s about the same (I’m 62 years old and a 8 hc) so I returned it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Significant upgrade More forgiving than 917D2. Launches higher. Straight ball flight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Titleist driver....wow! This club has exceeded my expectations, not in just performance but, looks, feel and sound. Purchased the 9.5 degree TS 2 driver with the evenflow 6.0 shaft, perfect launch and roll out in the B4 setting for my 100 mph swing speed. I have enjoyed this club so much I purchased the TS 2 16.5 fairway wood, can't wait to play that as a compliment.

Asked by: ALEX
The TS2 is built to be a bit more forgiving.

What's the difference between the ts2 ans ts3. They both state 440 CC for club head size. Thanks

Asked by: Robert
The main difference is the TS3 driver includes the SureFit CG system for golfers who want to adjust their driver to customize spin, launch, and shot shape. The TS2 driver does not have this adjustable feature, providing distance with maximum forgiveness.
