Q & A
Quite simply, the new Pro X2 rates as best in class when it comes to golf rangefinders from Bushnell, which is the undisputed industry leader in that market. The Pro X2 is loaded with features that give players all of the information they need to play better golf. Highlighting that list are Slope-Switch and JOLT Technology. Bushnell’s patented slope technology provides actual yardages as well as adjusted yardages, the latter of which tells golfers how long a shot will play based on the amount of uphill or downhill incline for that particular shot. Previously in a Bushnell rangefinder, however, a mode change was required to turn off the slope feature, which is required by the USGA for tournament play. But now players can simply adjust the slope switch on the side of the device to turn the slope function off if necessary. As mentioned, JOLT Technology is back as well with the Pro X2, as the device will respond with short vibrations to let players know that they’re locked in on the target and have the correct yardage, giving them added confidence to make a club choice. Those features, however, are just part of what make the Pro X2 Bushnell’s premium rangefinder. It also features Dual Display Technology, which gives golfers the option of getting displays in either a vivid red or sharp black color depending on their personal preference and light conditions on the course, while 6X magnification provides clear, crisp visuals at all times. The Pro X2 also features stable-grip technology, which makes it easy to operate with less shaking of the hands, and it retrieves yardages quickly and accurately. It’s also extremely durable, thanks to rubber armored metal housing, and maybe best of all, it’s fully waterproof, which give serious players the performance they need in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
