Q & A

XXIO Men's XXIO9 Drivers

Superior Control, Superior Distance

The XXIO series, a popular favorite among a wide range of golfers, has been number one in annual sales for 14 consecutive years in Japan since it first debuted. Meanwhile, Sakura Yokomine, Inbee Park, and other professional golfers have scored numerous tour victories playing with XXIO clubs. In order to respond to golfers' demand for a club that is easier swinging and longer hitting, the new XXIO9 clubs use Dual Speed Technology with a heavier head and lighter shaft for more speed and distance.

  • Dual Speed Technology maximizes the power of the golfer's swing to achieve higher clubhead speed and higher ball speed.
  • Heavier clubhead increases kinetic energy at impact for more distance
  • Thinner material in the face periphery delivers improved repulsion performance over the entire face
  • Center of gravity (CG) is positioned closer to the heel, for improved repulsion performance near the heel
  • Weight savings from the thinner crown are redistributed to the rear of the sole, to achieve a high launch angle and low spin
  • Wider heel to toe flare for a larger hitting, more responsive hitting surface
  • Shaft's CG has been moved 10mm closer to the grip to decrease swing MOI and increase head speed
  • 45.5" length
  • XXIO MP900 graphite shaft
  • Available in left- and right-hand
  • Includes headcover
  • Authorized XXIO Retailer

XXIO Men's XXIO9 Drivers MP900 Graphite is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to create shots I have been hitting Ping and Taylormade for the longest since I started playing golf in the 90’s. This purchase is one of the game changing club in my bag as I gained 20-30 yards. Perfect addition to XXIO 8 irons that I hit staright and consistent shots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good club. Wish I had obtained the 10.5 instead of the 11.5. The driver is a little heavier than I had thought after trying a friends xxio driver which had a brighter blue driver head. I thought I was getting that driver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best driver yet I am a second year golf, 20+ handicap. 64 years old. I tried several other drivers and could not straighten out my slice. Tried the XXIO and had immediate improvement. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality and performance as was expected. The golf warehouse did a fine job of delivering it in perfect order

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good swing feel. Easy to hit. Played with this for the first time on a tight windy course so that may affect some of my impressions. I hit the club good but had problems with pull draws (normally hit fade). I don't like to tee the ball up real high but still got a high ball flight with this club. Overall easy to hit club has a good feel and traditional look.

What is the difference between the 900 and 1000? Is it an older model?I am buying for my husband. What loft is better 9 or 11

Asked by: Martha
The 900 is an older model. As a guide, If your speed is between 60 and 80 mph, use 12 or more degrees of loft. At 80 to 100 mph lower the loft to about 10.5 degrees. Use less than 10 degrees of loft if you swing faster than 100 mph.

A swing speed of 85-90 , would the stiff shaft be ok . I have a regular shaft and hit it ok but would like to see more distance ;et me know your thoughts

Asked by: my320benz
A stiff may work for you. Here are the general guidelines for MPH swing speed 80-90 regular flex, 90-100 stiff flex. We always recommend seeing a club fitter if you're unsure.

Is the flex of the shaft the soft regular, that is, the “regular” regular and not the regular still or still regular? Also is this last year’s model?

Asked by: Foglio
This club has a lighter, more flexible stock shaft so the regular may be more flexible that the usual regular. Yes, this is last year's driver model.
