Wilson Staff Duo Soft Color Golf Balls

Wilson's Revolutionary Low Compression Golf Ball Redesigned For 2018

Wilson Duo Soft golf balls are here with a completely new design for the distance player. The newly-formulated 2-piece design provides lower spin off the driver, exceptional distance performance and unmatched soft feel. Duo Soft golf balls have a industry-low compression rating of 29 for the softest feel in a premium 2-piece golf ball. A 3% larger core increase velocity to maximize your distance. With incredible attention to detail, Wilson reduced the depth of the dimples by 5.7% for higher launch and longer distance. Wilson Global Directer of Golf Ball Innovation Frank Simonutti sums it up: "These enhancements give Duo Soft the best feel, longest distance and the lowers spin leading to the straightest flight off the tee." If you're a golfer looking for more distance with a soft-feeling golf ball, you need the new Wilson Duo Soft golf balls.

Wilson Staff DUO Soft Golf Ball Comparison

TGW tests out the new DUO Soft golf ball options from Wilson Staff.

What They're Saying...

"This ball is for the D player, the average player, but most golfers will like this ball. It's as long or longer than anything out there (among 2 piece balls). It doesn't lose distance and the high launch angle makes it easy to get the ball in the air."

Frank Simonutti, Golf Ball Innovation Director for Wilson Golf

"It has the lowest spin rate off the tee. This means less side spin for golfers who struggle to hit it straight. That's great for average players trying to hit more fairways with soft feel and greater distance."

Frank Simonutti, Golf Ball Innovation Director for Wilson Golf

"The dimple pattern is how you optimize distance based on velocity and spin. It's still a 302 seamless dimple pattern, but we made it shallower by 5%. That optimizes performance for spin rate with higher trajectory, longer carry and greater total distance."

Frank Simonutti, Golf Ball Innovation Director for Wilson Golf

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent ball at a very good price I’ve been rotating between Wilson Duo, Bridgestone E6 and Titleist soft the past couple of years. Had to try these new Wilson’s and really like the color and matte finish. The green is vivid and makes it easy to follow the ball in the air. Distance seems just fine as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright ball There similar to the volvik but a lot cheaper. There also a lot softer. I really like this ball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Found my forever ball! Just played my first round of the year last week and tried this ball for the first time as well. I scored my lowest round ever with an 86! Please keep the snickering to a minimum thank you lol. I average right around 100 only playing a few times a month. The low compression of this ball caught my ear as I've been researching the data on swing speeds and compression tests. I swing between 90-95, so this ball seemed worth the try. I bought a 3pk sleeve and I'm proud to say I didn't lose that ball the entire round lol. What's more impressive is there's not a scratch on it! I typically play the Volvik Vivid as I love the matte finish color options that have come out the past few years. My drives with the Duo Optix were about the same as the Volvik Vivid (hitting 275 consistently with 2 drives reaching 285), but this ball kept me in the fairway more often than not AND was phenomenal with my short irons/wedge play. I typicall have a low ball flight even with my irons and wedges (still learning to strike the ball properly with a consistent swing plane) but with this ball they shot up high in the air and had a very soft landing on every single wedge shot! For me, they didn't roll out as I've read here in the reviews a few times. They actually checked up nicely with only 2 or 3 short bounces. When it came to putting, this ball felt great and seemed to have such a true and consistent roll for me. My Volvik Vivids were super hot and would race off the face. I putt with a heavy Rife putter, so I've had to slow my tempo on putts with my normal ball (the Volvik), but this Wilson ball was much smoother, and I could feel my swing tempo was more true in distance control. I didn't 3 putt the entire round! Love this ball, and I hope you guys keep in around for many many years to come! I'm making the switch to this ball immediately!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the color! Love the color of these new Duo balls, they are easy to find on the golf course. However, I found them to have a harder feel than my orange Duo’s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than volvik I played the fg wilson ball for years and still do in tournaments, but played the volvik matte ball when I played my weekly rounds. I bought the new duo matte ball and played the 2 side by side for 2 rounds Off the tee - no difference, full iron shots- not much difference but the wilson feels better, pitch shots - the wilson wins , putting- the wilson ball is much better. Thanks wilson. 10 hdcp and I also play the triton driver

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great feel This ball is long off diver and soft on short irons. Price is great, love the color. Great value

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Color Balls are so easy to spot, and play well for my game. Only drawback is they need to be cleaned frequently as the matte finish seems to hold smudges more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Favorite Ball I recently switched from Pro v1 to the more affordable Wilson Duo Optix and can’t say enough good things about them. On top of all of the other positive attributes on the box, this ball is affordable for the average Joe! Love the ball!
