Q & A

  • When it comes to performance, the G400 Crossover from PING is one of the game’s most impressive utility options and a club that has undergone some dramatic changes from the original G Crossover.
  • Included in the updated design is iron-like gearing, which utilizes a more forward CG placement to create 45 percent less shot bend and 40 percent more spin.
  • The G400’s sole improves turf interaction from any lie to deliver better results on poor strikes
  • A new Maraging Steel clubface utilizes lightweight, strong C300 steel to increase ball speed and launch conditions.
  • Tungsten weight has been positioned in the toe to increase MOI
  • The new Hydropearl chrome finish provides an elegant look and 40 percent less friction, which improves consistency in wet conditions or from poor lies in the rough.
  • Available in lofts of 19, 22, and 25 degrees
  • Stock shaft: Alta CB 70
  • Stock grip: Golf Pride Tour Velvet

PING Men's G400 Crossover Hybrids Tour 80 Graphite is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better accuracy and more consisten Much easier to hit and more consistent off the tee or a good fairway lie than a regular hybrid. I personally hit a a bit shorter than a regular hybrid, but being straight and in the fairway or green far better than extra but unpredictable distance

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far great on the Range I bought this club a month ago. I live in Chicago and it has not exactly been golf weather yet. I have hit it at an indoor range. Center of the club face contact yielded high solid distance. I look forward to hitting on the course. I am not in love with the sound at contact, but I have only hit those weird range balls at an indoor range. Perhaps a Titleist on the course will sound great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not that impressed with performance I have the first generation model of this club in #3 and #4. I hit it for a while and then put it back in the garage for a while. While it is true that it has a great sound and feel when you hit it "one the screws", if you don't, it is a pretty flat hitting club, and for me, likely to hook inside. I cannot say that the 4 goes much farther than my 4 iron in my set, so distance is not something I have achieved by using the club. I am not saying it won't be the answer for you,but I am saying that I am not that wild about the club. I have G20 hybids that actually are better hitting clubs, for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Club Was looking for a long iron off the tee on Short Par 4's and long Par 3's. I wanted a more penetrating ball flight. I have used the club 2 rounds and have had some good success with it. Really looking forward to dialing in in when I get to play a little more.

My legacy Ping Eye 2's have the Orange Dot I do not see the Orange Dot option on the cross overs. Which color matches or replaces the orange dot which is the lie angle?

Asked by: wishIcouldhitemstraight
Unfortunately, this club does not come with the option to have the clubs lie angle changed to 2.25 degrees flat. The lowest that this club can go to is .75 degrees flat. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What does a blue dot do

Asked by: Pat
The Blue Dot is 0.75° upright. The recommended Height measurement for a blue dot is between 5'4" to 6'2½" and the Wrist to floor measurement 33¾" to 35¼". We do recommend being fitted with a local professional or golf shop for best fit.
