Q & A
Titleist and Bob Vokey introduced SM6 wedges to revolutionize the short game. From a technology standpoint, and for the first time in a Vokey wedge, the SM6 line features a progressive center of gravity. As wedges increase in loft, the ideal impact position moves up the clubface. The progressive CG design aligns the center of gravity with impact locations specific to each loft to give you better distance and trajectory control, as well as exceptional feel. Additionally, new TX4 grooves feature a parallel face texture to generate even more spin and they’re optimized for loft as well, as stronger lofted wedges feature deeper, narrower grooves and more lofted wedges utilize shallower, wider grooves. The SM6 Brushed Copper wedges are a limited edition offering from Titleist and are being offered in lofts of 54, 56, 58, and 60 degrees. The Brushed Copper finish features a light coating of black oxide over a copper plated layer. The finish will rust with time and wear to reveal more and more of the copper. Each loft is available only in the mid-bounce M Grind design, which is Vokey’s most popular sole grind. The M Grind will work best for players with neutral angles of attack and from medium or firmer turf and sand conditions.
