Q & A

Titleist Men's AP2 716 Irons

Tour-Proven Distance And Forgiveness

At address, there’s no question that the 716 AP2 is a players iron, as thin toplines, minimal offset, compact blades, and a forged construction are all part of the stylish package. When you hit the AP2 irons, however, their incredible performance rivals that which can be found in many game-improvement irons, as impressive distance and amazing forgiveness are all part of this club’s playability, along with the soft, crisp feel that Titleist is known for. Given that combination of look, feel, and playability, it should come as no surprise that this is an iron that’s getting plenty of play on Tour.

Features:

  • Tungsten weighting that was used in the design low and along the perimeter of the club head increases MOI and helps lower the center of gravity, producing more speed and stability at impact for better results on mis-hits.
  • Optimized CG progression, meanwhile, provides a consistent, tour-proven trajectory with every club, and wider soles with trailing edge relief enable more consistent contact by preventing digging.
  • The stock shaft for the AP2 irons is the True Temper Dynamic Gold, but other custom options are available at no upcharge as well.
  • The stock grip is the Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360

Titleist Men's AP2 716 Irons #4-PW TT Dynamic Gold AMT Stiff Right is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought these AP2's and happy I did, felt great from the first swing. These AP2's replaced my old Titelist 706's so there wasn't a big change in feel only better. Solid contact that gets immediately transmitted to hands for confidence. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful value!! I bought these clubs because I wanted irons that would enable me to work the ball a little. Well, they are perfect for that. High cut, low draw, no problem. Now I have been playing a while and at age 58, these clubs are still forgiving enough for me to mishit it slightly and have a satisfactory outcome. I get instant feedback on well struck shots and the yardage consistency is spot on. Could not imagine a better club for lower to mid handicappers wanting to up their game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very forgiving I was 11.8 handicap. Since I got my irons I have dropped to 10.7.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Clubs My 15 yr old son was fitted for the 718 AP2's, but we bought these 716 AP2's and they play great. The launch window is ideal for him now, and they are very forgiving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Irons very forgiving I bought these irons about 2 months ago and have played about 6 rounds with them. They are very forgiving for a player's iron without sacrificing workability. I love these irons and would highly recommended them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome clubs I bought clubs 3 weeks ago, and at the course the sensation when you hit on the sweet spot is awesome. The sound and playability are great. ❤️ my new titleist clubs

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Accurate Irons After playing Callaway irons for many years I purchased these Titleist AP2 716 irons with TT Dynamic Gold stiff shafts. These are very accurate and workable irons. They are easy to hit for a player's iron, but the scoring irons lack the distance I'm used to getting. I'm guessing this is due to not having the tungsten in the 8, 9, PW and GW. I'll be trading these in for another set of Callaways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Visual irons Played with AP2 710’s for 8 years. These 716’s are even better.
