TGW Phoenix Slope Rangefinder

Next Level Accuracy From The People Who Know Golf

TGW has been reviewing and selling the best golf rangefinders on the market for more than 15 years. When it came time to designing our own rangefinder, we knew exactly what golfers were looking for. The Phoenix is like having two rangefinders in one through the use of interchangeable plates on the side of the unit. There's a plate (red colored) that allows you to see both actual and adjusted yardages, the latter of which factors in uphill or downhill slopes for the shot being played. The other plate (blue colored) turns off the slope feature, which makes the rangefinder legal for tournament play according to USGA rules. The TGW Phoenix Slope rangefinder delivers accuracy and performance at a new level. Accurate to within a yard with a range of 400 yards, you'll have accurate readings for every shot on the golf course with compensated distance to make sure you're using the right club, every time.

Features:

  • 400-yard range
  • Advanced target lock function ensures accurate readings on your target
  • Scanning function let's you measure various distances across the course
  • 6x magnification so you can zero in on your target
  • Accurate readings to within a yard
  • Requires CR2 3V battery (included with rangefinder)
  • Slope feature can be turned on and off for tournament play by using interchangeable plates
  • 1 year warranty

Clear, Accurate Display

Visuals are easy to see and understand when using the TGW Phoenix Slope Rangefinder. The flag icon on the left side of the screen lets you know that you're locked on the target, while yardages displayed top center are actual yardages for the shot you're about to play and yardages displayed toward the bottom right of the screen are adjusted yardages that factor in the amount of slope for any given shot.

Compact, User-Friendly Design

The compact size and lightweight design of the TGW Phoenix Slope Rangefinder make it easy for players to retrieve yardages.

Slope Functionality

When installed, the red chip on the side of the TGW Phoenix Slope Rangefinder provides golfers with slope capability. To disable slope functionality, which makes the device legal for tournament play, simply remove the red chip and install the alternate blue chip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value!!! I bought this to replace an aging rangefinder that had a hard time hitting the stick/flag from more than about 130 out. This Phoenix works very well out to 300 actually. While I don't use the slope feature very much I do see it helping those needing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slope feature is great Bought this at $140 and used it for 2 rounds so far and has helped tremendously because I have shot in the low 80s due to knowing my exact yardage. I've never had a rangefinder because all the others were out of my price range but this was golf heaven sent. Thanks TGW for making it affordable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I play to to a 2-3 handicap 3 times a week and have been using this product for six months, yardages are accurate to 1 yard +/-, the slope readings are generally ok but do get some readings that I know are not accurate on my home course.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price, ok performance I bought this early in the 2018 season due to the slope feature. I had an older Bushnell that was fine but lacked the slope feature. After a full season I'm back to the Bushnell, as it picks up the flag so much faster and is much more reliable. The TGW model is an amazing price and maybe if it was my first go with a laser i would not know any better regarding it's slower reading of the flag. There have also been times when it just does not read anything which can be frustrating. The slope feature is cool, especially on new courses, but after shooting the same flags on my home course you sort of get a sense for the +/- factor on certain holes. I will keep the TGW for one of my kids, but day in and day out it's just not as fast and easy to use as my Bushnell. Because it is so much cheaper than the name brand Lasers, I give it 4 stars, but if based solely on performance it is probably a 3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more guessing I can’t believe how inaccurate I was trying to estimate how far it was to the pin. This Range finder has changed my game. I have never been closer with my approach shots to the flag . It’s a valuable addition to my bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good rangefinder for a reasonable price Rangefinder has worked well in the 3 rounds I've used it. For uphill shots its sometimes difficult to zero in on flagstick with trees in the background. Shooting greenside bunkers or mounds between myself and the flag at least gives a reasonable yardage to shoot beyond for a chance to be on the green.

Do you need a separate micro chip

Asked by: Lost Lake
There are 2 chips included a blue and a red. The red chip is to be put on when you want to use the slope feature, otherwise, you would use the unit with the blue chip installed.
