Cleveland TFI 2135 1.0 Putter

Cleveland TFI 2135 1.0 Putter

Perfect Alignment At Every Address Position

During several testing sessions, Cleveland found that a majority of golfers had trouble lining up a putter accurately and that their eyes were usually deceiving them in some fashion. This was especially true with blade style putters or smaller mallets. Further research revealed that the sightlines that typically existed on the bottom of the flange of most putters were the issue, as unless a golfer had his or her eyes directly over the ball at address the sightline wasn’t working as an accurate alignment tool. This was a problem that needed to be addressed, as Cleveland’s research found that 80 percent of players didn’t line up with their eyes directly over the ball. Through additional research and development, engineers discovered that if they moved the sightline 21.35 millimeters off the ground, or even with the center of a golf ball, that no matter how players chose to address the ball with the putter that the sightline was always accurate and making alignment easier. And with that, 2135 Technology was born. But this is a putter that offers more than just a game-changing alignment feature. Thanks to True Feel Innovation, this is a product that also provides incredible feel and generates a true, consistent roll, performance attributes are made possible by a milled copper infused face cap that exists over a copolymer insert.

Ideal For:

Golfers of all ability levels can use this putter but players who putt using a slight to moderate arc and in their stroke might especially benefit from the TFI 2135 1.0, as the amount of toe hang utilized in the design will match up well for those whose putting stroke employs an arc. Players who putt using a straight back, straight through approach, however, might fare better with a face balanced model. That said, the alignment technology developed for this putter, combined with the TFI performance in terms of feel and roll, should make this a highly popular choice for players who prefer a blade-style putter.

Cleveland TFI 2135 Putters

Chris Wallace from TGW talks with Brian Schielke, senior product manager of Cleveland Golf about the TFI 2135 Putters.

2135 Technology

By raising the sightline to the radius of a golf ball, which is 21.35 millimeters above the ground, players can line up more accurately regardless of their preferred setup position.

True Feel Innovation

The face of the putter features a milled copper infused cap that covers a copolymer insert, providing a consistent roll and enhanced feel.

What They're Saying...

“Putting in general, alignment is the number one thing, because if you can’t align the putter right it doesn’t matter what happens after that. That’s really the focus of the TFI 2135 putters, getting people to line the putter up correctly.”

Brian Schielke, Cleveland Golf Senior Product Manager

“It’s really been an oversight in putter design for the last 30, 40, 50 years. The sightline at the bottom just doesn’t show true alignment unless your eyes are over the ball but we found that eighty percent of golfers don’t have their eyes over the ball.”
