Srixon Men's Z 765 Irons

Muscle Cavity Golf Irons With Greater Feel For Skilled Golfers

Srixon irons have made a big splash on Tour in recent years, and the company has several professionals who are presently gaming the new Z 765. The reason for that is simple. Those players are getting the performance benefits of a players iron, most notably incredible control and the ability to shape shots, while also enjoying more forgiveness than one might expect from an iron in this category thanks to its muscle cavity design. And all of that playability comes in the form of a sleek, compact blade that has been forged using soft 1020 Carbon Steel for the ultimate feel and sound at impact. Additionally, the new Tour V.T. Sole utilized in the 765s, arguably the touring pros’ favorite feature about Srixon’s most recent iron line, enables improved turf interaction at impact for cleaner strikes and a tighter shot dispersion. The Z 765s also offer a pair of impressive stock shaft options, as players can choose between the True Temper Dynamic Gold or the increasingly popular Nippon Modus Tour 120. Additionally, as an added feature, Srixon is also offering any custom steel shaft that it stocks at no upcharge in any new Z Series iron, the 765s included.

Ideal For:

Low- and mid-handicap golfers. And that designation wouldn’t come as much of a surprise when looking at these irons, which are clearly players clubs. That said, the 765s do offer more forgiveness than one might expect in looking at them, so it’s not an iron only for a scratch player. But where the 765s excel is in terms of feel, look, workability, and control, all of which are going to be attributes most typically valued by better players. For the golfer who wants a clean, compact look but needs more distance and forgiveness, the Z 565 might be a better option.

What They're Saying...

“This is a little bit more of a compact design featuring a muscle cavity shape. That muscle cavity shape still offers some forgiveness. That’s what a lot of our Tour pros use. They like the compact design and workability that it affords but still with that little bit of forgiveness.”

Eli Miller, Srixon Golf Product Manager

“We are really excited to bring back the Tour V.T. Sole, which we do have featured in all three of these new Z-series irons. What we’ve done with the Tour V.T. Sole for this generation is make it even better. How did we make it better? We removed a little bit of material from the trailing edge and we rounded out the heel and toe portions to make it move even more efficiently through the turf.”

Eli Miller, Srixon Golf Product Manager

What Players Like You Are Saying...

“The 765, a little bit thinner topline, which appealed. Tremendous feel. The sound and feel at impact is just really impressive.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, solid and long. Replaced my Mizunos. I've always favored the feel of Mizuno irons and came close buying the MP-25s. Then I tried these 765s and couldn't believe how soft and powerful they felt. And the stock NSPro shafts are a great match. And these are one of the best looking irons I've ever seen. Two of my golf buddies, diehard Callaway Apex Pro users, tried my 765s and bought them the next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel and distance in forgiving muscle back This fall I tried several sets of irons including the Mizuno JPX 900 foraged and tried the Srixon 765s as an afterthought. I bought the Srixons. They are great feeling foraged club, with clean lines, and they are long and accurate with surprising forgiveness for a muscle backed blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Clubs I've had mine few a little over a month now and I'm very satisfied. I had the 745's prior to this set. I put the Nippon Pro 120 shafts in and what a difference. The ball flight is great. I can work the ball very well.
