Q & A

PING Sigma G Tyne Putter

Designed To Improve Confidence And Lower Scores

PING’s new Sigma G putter line features everything a player needs to roll the ball more consistently and hole more putts, a combination that will grow a golfer’s confidence and produce better scores. More specifically, new True Roll Face Technology along with a variable depth face pattern create increased forgiveness and deliver consistent ball speed and enhanced distance control from all impact points. Additionally, a PEBAX elastomer insert and the milled 6061 aluminum face, which was constructed using multiple layers, also aid in producing consistent ball speeds while also delivering soft feel and crisp acoustics. And finally, a contrasting full-face insert makes it easier for players to get aligned properly. The Sigma G Tyne is a mallet design that will work best for players who have a slight arc in their stroke or use a straight back, straight through putting stroke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well balanced putter with good sound and feel I've only played five rounds since purchasing this putter but so far my putting stroke average has dropped by about three strokes. The putter feels good in my hands, balances well and feels and sounds just right. The most noticeable improvement thus far has been in lagging putts closer to the hole.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Experience First of thank you to TGW for helpful customer service, easily navigated website, and fast shipping. I was greatly surprised when I received my putter from them. Came packed very well and the plastic was still on the club! But the putter is truly amazing, great feel, great sound when contacting the ball and actually for giving putter as well. I would recommend this putter to anyone just make sure you know how shaft should be and you'll start knocking them in!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Advanced technology that works After spending time with two golf professionals who understand putting and can "fit" a putter for a senior golfer, I tried out this Sigma G Tyne. I have to say that technology has come a long way. The improvements are basically three. First, the design improved my alignment. Second, the face-balance made a marked difference, and I stopped pushing putts to the right. Third, the grip and length can be matched to the player. I am very pleased with this putter, and I will retire my older Ping putters that have served me well since the eighties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel This putter is a design that many companies now feature. The Ping, however, has a face insert that gets the ball rolling quickly and create a nice feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent putter with great feel and good weighing I bought this putter several days ago, and I had a choice to play with it twice, and there are big differences between my Ping Sigma G and V-Line Odyssey putters. This ping putter (Ping Sigma G) is much smoother through the ball, and the weight distributes through your long and short puts are equally balanced and poised. I have been golfing for over twenty-five years, and I have not found a company like Ping who can put out a product this. SUPER PUTTER!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Point and Shoot Long-time blade user. Have tried other types (Odyssey 7 and 9/SC Squareback) but never had the look, feel and alignment of this baby. With its weight, you'll likely not to leave your putt short. Two rounds this weekend and I'm convinced. It's a keeper.

Im 6'4 what length do you recommend

Asked by: Joe muzz
As a guideline for standard lengths, If you're 6 feet or taller, use a 35" putter is recommended, if you're 5'9 inches to 5'11 tall, a 34-inch putter. Golfers who are 5'5 to 5'8 use a 33 putter. Be advised this is just a guideline. For better fit we would recommend being fitted with a local golf shop or professional.

Asked by: DDavis
If you're looking to fit yourself for a putter then Standard Putter Sizing Guidelines. If you're 6 feet or taller, use a 35 inch putter, and if you're 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 tall, use a 34-inch putter. Golfers who are 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 should use a 33-34 inch putter and a 33-inch putter if you're 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 tall. Please be advised these are just guidelines and we would recommend seeing a club fitter for the best fit.
