PING Men's G700 Irons Blue 1.0 Upright #4-UW ALTA CB Stiff Right is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improved my game immediately Bought these irons over 2 months ago. Ball definitely goes higher and straighter than my previous G25s. Not sure it goes any further but definitely better control and feel. Have used them practically everyday and have had no problem with the finish as previous reviews have mentioned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the performance; Finish is lacking I went for a fitting in April and the G700's won out. With the stock Alta and AWT shafts the performance was no better than the irons I had been playing. Once the fitter had me try the Nippon Modus 105 shaft I immediately gained 7 yds of distance, with a higher ball speed, higher ball flight, more spin and better dispersion. Best of all the Modus 105 is included as an option with no additional cost per club. These clubs lived up to the fitting throughout the season and I gained about 5-7 yds over my old irons with similar loft specs. My only knock is the finish. As others reviews have mentioned, the hydropearl finish marks up badly. On a golf forum I frequent, some G400 users experiencing the same issue, mentioned trying to rub the irons with a green scotch brite pad and some Barkeeper's Friend polish. The polish never did anything but the pad helped. Here are some before and after pictures I took.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Height/Distance Bought the G700 irons 5 weeks ago and have won club events twice and runnerup on another. Latest win paid for the clubs!! Golf Australia Handicap has come back to 8 from 11 and there is another 1 or 2 left in them. Mates can't believe it!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disapointing not the club I thought it was, having the clubs for 3 months, I am looking for another set of irons

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great clubs but This summer I had a full set of G700's built for me. 4 to PW. I loved them so much I ordered the UW. I just got it and after 3 balls the head came off. This isn't what I've come to expect from Ping. After examine the club there wasn't any epoxy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed my game! These are the best irons out there in my opinion. If you are looking for an iron to take your game to another level this is it. My game drastically improved from using these irons, they are so forgiving and just give you more confidence when you approach the ball.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Iron, but with so-so surface finish :( Purchased those at Markham Golftown 2 months ago, very good Club... BUT, just after 10 round, the club head surface looks more like 10 years old :( Ping should find ways/materials to keep club head finishing last longer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look, feel and perform great! Played twice with these irons. They feel like a hot knife through butter, smooth and very forgiving! They hit farther than my big berthas.

are the G700 suitable for higher handicaps

Asked by: johnl
These are extremely forgiving game improvement irons. While some mid-handicappers may find them appealing, in general, they would be best suitable for double-digit handicappers.
