Q & A
Odyssey Toulon Design putters are built using only premium materials and have been designed to give players incredibly soft feel, clean, classic shapes, and a pure roll that promotes better speed and distance control. They are machine milled from soft 303 stainless steel, which contributes to their aesthetic beauty and amazing feel, and a deep Diamond Milling pattern on the face helps prevent backspin and instead promotes forward roll, which is a key to effective putting, while also channeling vibration for improved acoustics. Each Toulon Design putter is also named after a city or region and has a back story. The Indianapolis, which is a high-MOI, mallet design, earned its name based on the fact that it has been built using materials often used by IndyCar race technicians, most notably 6061 aluminum for the putter face. Additional weighting on the back wings of the Indianapolis raise its MOI points to more than 5,400, which allows for incredible forgiveness on mis-hits. The Indianapolis is also a face-balanced design, so it will work best for players who putt using a straight back, straight through approach or who only have slight arcs in their stroke. Also of note, AR (Aggressive Release) Series putters from Toulon Design feature a 40-gram sole plate and a 50-gram weight in the butt end of the grip to help golfers smooth out their stroke and release the putter more easily.
