Q & A

Odyssey Stroke Lab Double Wide Putter

With the 2019 Odyssey Stroke Lab putters, Odyssey has completely retooled their approach to putter weighting. It all comes from changing the shaft. The Stroke Lab shaft is 40 grams lighter due to it's new multi-material construction that uses a graphite body with a heavier steel tip. This allows them to add weight into the sole of the club head and the butt-end of the grip. That weight distribution helps golfers make a smooth, accurate, repeatable putting stroke. Stroke Lab putters feature Odyssey's White Hot microhinge face insert, combining the legendary feel of the White Hot material withe dozens of microhinges that promote smooth roll and greater distance control. These putters are available in 10 shapes, including the double wide mid-mallet, so there is a Stroke Lab design to fit the eye of every golfer.

Features:

  • White Hot microhinge face insert combines legendary White Hot feel with dozens of microhinges that promote top spin for smoother roll and more accurate distance control
  • Tip-heavy shaft saves 40 grams of weight that is relocated to provide smoother performance
  • Stroke Lab shaft is slightly stiffer and has less torque compared to a standard putter shaft to provide better control over the slightly heavier head
  • Additional weight added to the sole of the club and the butt-end of grip help you make a consistently smooth, more accurate putting stroke
  • 10-gram lighter grip also helps redistribute weight for better control and consistency
  • Face-balanced mid-mallet
  • Includes headcover

Odyssey Stroke Lab Double Wide Putter Odyssey Stroke lab Oversize Right 35 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best putter on the market I bought this putter 3 weeks ago and it’s the best balanced, best confidence builder I’ve ever used . Feel like I’m always close even on lags. Pistol grip really has me feeling the speed .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice putter I bought this putter to try the technology that Stroke Lab installed in this design. It does have a unique feel and I think it will help some golfers. I would have given it five stars except that it was promoted as “face-balanced” and it isn’t. It has about fifteen degrees of toe hang. I returned it within three days of receiving it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer If you are on the fence for a new putter give the stroke lab putters a chance. Great counterbalance feel, but not super heavy like many other putters out there. Great feel, love the sound of the white insert. For $250 it performs up to standard of the milled face $500 putters... Watch out Scotty Cameron there is going to be some competition from this line of putters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great putter Have had double wide for 5 rounds now. Averaged 30 putts and only two 3 putts on our par 72 course with difficult greens. Cannot find anything negative at all. Great balance, feel and looks. Enough said.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth strokes I was looking for a new putter to replace an old outdated one I had in my bag. I tried several brands and price ranges. This has an amazing feel and lightness for control. I really like the oversize grip. This beat out higher priced putters I tested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like no putter before! I just took delivery of my new stroke lab double wide putter today and it feels great, can really feel the head of the putter during the stroke ensuring you hit the ball along your desired path to the hole, The feel off the face is superb. Quality is great and I went for the oversized grip which feels nice in the hands. Good magnetic headcover to. I picked up the putter with a 10% off voucher so got a decent price too. Would recommend.

How does the oversize grip compare to the SuperStroke 2.0 with counterweight.

Asked by: Carl
This grip will be slightly smaller because it does taper unlike the SuperStroke grip. This putter also does not have the adjustable weight the SuperStroke countercore grips do.

Can the lie angle be adjusted to more than +3 or -3? Around 75 degrees or more?

Asked by: Rtfaust
+/-3° is the maximum the lie angle can be adjusted for these putters.

Is the stroke lab double wide putter a true face balanced putter. Some people say no. Does the face of the putter point to the ski when holding the putter in your fingers horizontally

Asked by: Tom
I have checked our information with Odyssey and this is a face-balanced putter.

I am interested in the Odyssey Stroke lab double wide putters.  What are the differences between the flow neck vs. standard neck?  Is one toe hang and the other center balanced?

Asked by: Ashitanojo
Yes, the Odyssey Stoke Lab Double Wide putter is face-balanced, while the Odyssey Stroke Lab Double Wide Flow Neck putter will have a 41° toe hang mid-mallet.
