Q & A

Odyssey Stroke Lab #7 S Putter

With the 2019 Odyssey Stroke Lab putters, Odyssey has completely retooled their approach to putter weighting. It all comes from changing the shaft. The Stroke Lab shaft is 40 grams lighter due to it's new multi-material construction that uses a graphite body with a heavier steel tip. This allows them to add weight into the sole of the club head and the butt-end of the grip. That weight distribution helps golfers make a smooth, accurate, repeatable putting stroke. Stroke Lab putters feature Odyssey's White Hot microhinge face insert, combining the legendary feel of the White Hot material withe dozens of microhinges that promote smooth roll and greater distance control. These putters are available in 10 shapes, including the signature #7 mallet, so there is a Stroke Lab design to fit the eye of every golfer.

Features:

  • White Hot microhinge face insert combines legendary White Hot feel with dozens of microhinges that promote top spin for smoother roll and more accurate distance control
  • Tip-heavy shaft saves 40 grams of weight that is relocated to provide smoother performance
  • Stroke Lab shaft is slightly stiffer and has less torque compared to a standard putter shaft to provide better control over the slightly heavier head
  • Additional weight added to the sole of the club and the butt-end of grip help you make a consistently smooth, more accurate putting stroke
  • 10-gram lighter grip also helps redistribute weight for better control and consistency
  • #7 S putter features a slant neck hosel
  • 37° toe hang mallet
  • Includes headcover

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Par Saver This putter has all the features that will make you a better putter. I purchased the weight kit so I can match the different green conditions that I play on.The ball comes off the face fast which helps control how hard you need to hit it.Once you adjust to it you will be surprised how fast the birdies and pars add up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birdie Saver I have found my putter for life. This putter fits my arcing putter stroke perfectly. I added the 5.0 grip to quiet my hands and it works like a charm. Thanks Brian for all your help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stroke Lab Seven S Putting is the strength of my game. I have had the Seven S in play for a week now, three rounds.. Really like the feel of the ball coming off the face with a very consistent pace and distance range. The shaft is the highlight of the club and just feels great. This putter feels good going back and thru the stroke. Stable. Slightly off-center strokes still roll out the intended length. My only personal complaint is the grip. It just feels hard in my hands. All in all a great putter.
