Mizuno Men's S18 Chrome Wedges

Loft Optimized To Maximize Performance

Mizuno’s new S18 wedges have been designed to provide golfers with optimal performance on every shot they play, be it a full shot from the fairway or rough or a shot played from around the green. That level of optimized performance has been accomplished in part thanks to loft-specific head shapes, which change in size based on the most common uses for a particular wedge, and advanced CG placements, as the center of gravity has been moved higher on more lofted wedges to better align with the impact location that most players achieve with a more lofted wedge. Additionally, S18 wedges feature sole grinds and bounce that have been matched based on loft to provide enhanced versatility for shot-making. Also of note, S18 wedges have been forged using 1025 Boron, which provides exceptional feel as well as more strength, while Harmonic Impact Technology ensures soft, crisp feel and sound at impact. In terms of spin, Quad Cut Grooves are narrower and deeper in the stronger lofts and wider and shallower in the weaker lofts to optimize spin based on loft, and Face Milling increases surface roughness to ensure maximum spin on shots played from any lie condition around the green. S18 wedges are available in stock lofts ranging from 46 to 60 degrees and feature True Temper Dynamic Gold wedge shafts and Golf Pride MCC grips. Mizuno also offers several custom loft and bounce options as well.

Mizuno Men's S18 Chrome Wedges 7.0 TT Dynamic Gold Steel is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mizuno S18 Wedges I bought 52 and 58 degree wedges using the customization option and got the shaft and lie I wanted fat no extra charge. If you are a Mizuno iron player these are a great addition. They feel solid from the fairway and around the green. Looking forward to improved scoring this season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent feels and distance control I went with a 51,55 & 59 s18 and the feel is amazing. I always thought Pokeys were the end all but not any longer. The Mizunos feel better and distance control is excellent. No glare, great shape and ability to open faces for different shots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous; little smaller head; not quite as solid I bought these to replace my Cobra wedges. My all time favorite wedge was a Mizuno 60 degree with 4 degrees. These wedges are gorgeous to look at. The heads are bit smaller than I thought they would be but are easily lined up. I don't think they're as solid as other Mizuno wedges I've used in the past, which is disappointing. Definitely not the most forgiving wedges, so if that's what you're after, these are not the wedges for you. Ball flight is about what you'd expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best feeling wedges I've ever hit. Beautiful looks at address and the same feel I get from my forged irons. These are hands down the best wedges I have ever hit in over 30 years as a golfer.

What does the bounce mean under the loft?

Asked by: John
The bounce angle is the angle between the ground and the leading edge of the club when the sole is rested on the ground. If you have a steeper angle of attack and take large divots, you'll want more bounce to prevent the club from digging into the ground. If you have a shallow angle of attack and take little to no divot, you'll want less bounce to help get the leading edge of the club under the ball and improve launch. Bounce options will vary depending on which loft you select.

In the fitting chart what’s the numbers on the club chart for

Asked by: calvin33
The numbers under the "clubs" option are the loft and bounce. For example, you have 53.10, 53 is the loft and 10 is the bounce.
