Mizuno Men's MP18 MMC FLI-HI Irons

Utility irons have become increasingly popular in the last few years, as golfers have continued to look for alternatives to both traditional long irons and, more recently for some, hybrids. And when it comes to utility irons, Mizuno has long been ahead of the curve with its popular Fli-Hi franchise. Brand new from Mizuno are its MP-18 MMC Fli-Hi irons, which have been designed to give golfers the workability and control that they would get out of a long iron but with the higher launch conditions and increased distance that hybrids offer. Fueling the performance of the MP-18 HiFli irons is a 1770 maraging steel face that’s thin and flexible, a combination that creates faster ball speeds and increased distance. Making the high launch conditions possible, meanwhile, are a hollow body construction that enables a low, deep CG positions, as well as 20 grams of tungsten weight that has been positioned in the toe. The tungsten also helps increase MOI for better results on mis-hits. Additionally, Harmonic Impact Technology implemented in the design creates exceptional sound and feel at impact, while the Satin Chrome Nickel finish won’t glare and offers an impressive combination of elegance and durability. Mizuno MP-18 MMC Fli-Hi irons are available in 2 through 6 models that range in loft from 16.5 to 28 degrees. They also feature KBS C-Taper Lite shafts and Golf Pride MCC grips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The driving iron I’ve been looking for This club looks and feels great. Great swing weight. I have been looking for driving irons for a few years and have not hit one as good as this. Misses are controllable and still fly a long ways. When you hit it flush you cannot even feel the ball. You will still get distance when the fairway is narrow or you aren’t feeling confident with a driver

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth like butter Light weight, super smooth feel and great off he tee or wherever. I hit this about 240 and much more controllable than the average hybrid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great club Slightly less forgiving than what I expected, but when hit flush it has great distance with a penetrating trajectory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 2iron Easy to hit and great for someone who typically hits a high ball to get under the wind

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hybrid Replacement I bought this club because I was hitting a 5 wood or hybrid too high in the air. This club stays low and boars through the wind. would def recommend it to someone looking for the low stinger shot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sharp looking club Smaller head then I am use too, sweet spot hits fly off the club , when you miss the sweet spot you can feel .. Not very forgiving

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Consistent For tight fairways or when you are not feeling comfortable with driver/3 wood this is the perfect solution. If you hit it right the result will be perfect as it produces minimal spin. Forgiving up to a point but nevertheless superior to most utility irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s sweet! It has a solid feel and sweet shaft, with good ball strike.
