Q & A
One of the complaints that players often have when it comes to hybrids is that there are many on the market that tend to have significant draw biases. That, however, is anything but the case with the new Mizuno JPX 900 hybrids. Flatter lie angles have helped eliminate big hooks, and a modern head shape and hosel design combine to enhance shot shaping and control. From a performance standpoint, the JPX 900 hybrids deliver exceptional distance thanks to a maraging clubface and Shockwave Sole, the latter of which maintains high COR across the lower portion of the face to enable faster ball speeds from all impact points. Additionally, an adjustable hosel allows for +/- 2 degrees of loft adjustment to help players achieve exactly what they want in terms of distance and trajectory. The JPX 900 hybrids come in lofts of 16, 19, 22, and 25 degrees, with the 19- and 22-degree models only available for left-handers. The stock shaft is the Fujikura Pro Hybrid in regular or stiff flex, but other custom options are available as well.

Players of all ability levels. The Mizuno JPX 900 hybrids deliver the exceptional distance and high launch conditions that every player wants in a hybrid, but they’re also more versatile in terms of workability and have a softer feel and sound at impact than many of their competitors, which will likely to appeal to lower-handicap players, as will their neutral ball flight bias. Given those performance attributes, as well as a clean, compact look, this is a hybrid that will suit the needs of golfers with very different playing profiles.
Maintains high COR at positions low on the clubface to keep ball speeds high even on mis-hits.
Creates lower spin rates for enhanced control and maximum distance.
“I think this is probably the most impressive hybrid I’ve ever hit. The feel was extremely impressive; that was what stood out to me the most. It was soft but (the ball) came off hot.”

“They were awesome. I can’t put the hybrid down. Personally, I love it. It has great feel; Mizuno, that’s what they’re known for. I’ve always had a problem going left with my hybrids, and with this I didn’t have that problem.”
