Leupold GX-4i² Golf Rangefinder

Every stroke-saving advantage Leupold can pack into a compact, rugged laser rangefinder!

The best just got better. The new Leupold GX-4i² Rangefinder with revolutionary Smart Key technology now conforms to USGA Rule 14-3. Lightning-fast DNA engine; improved PinHunter 2 Laser Technology; and a bright, vivid OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display come together with proprietary features such as True Golf Range (TGR) and Club Selector. The result is a training/playing aid that can be tailored to your own personal ball-striking abilities, or used for tournament play when permitted by Local Rule.

Leupold GX-4i² Rangefinder features:

  • Permitted for use under the rules of golf when Local Rule is in effect, per the United States Golf Association (Rule 14-3/0.5)
  • To use the GX-4i2 in tournament play, remove the patented yellow Smart Key faceplate from the rangefinder and replace it with the chrome faceplate. Leupold GX-4i² Rangefinder is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super Bummed Having a real rough time getting this thing to give accurate ranges. Super bummed. Seemed like a great product but has not been dependable what so ever. Ranges always seem to be 10 to 15 yards off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Compact I have been playing golf at a competitive level for several years now and I have never had a rangefinder as easy to aim as this. Its compact layout allows for people with an unsteady hand (such as myself) to get the yardage pretty swiftly. Very accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Brought my GX-4i about three years ago love it very much, I play four times a week use to be a 9HC now a7 this rangefinder took all the guess work out of the short and lets you take a full swing . Sending back stop working off and on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for the course Every foursome asks me for the yardage. They could be standing the on 100 yard marker and still want Leo's range to the pin. It's improved my game, the yardage is dead on. I really enjoy the LOS features. NO issues to report.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliability with great accuracy I have owned my GX-4i2 for 3 plus years and played over 400 rounds of golf with it. It has always performed for every round of golf without fail. The accuracy is amazing and the TGR function provides excellent distance information for great club selection. When playing in a scramble, my team always relies on the information from my Leupold versus most other competitive products. I highly recommend you give this product a real opportunity to improve your golf game. There is real enjoyment in hitting accurate shots into tight pin locations on well-protected greens from various approach distances.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tremendous piece of machinery! It's expensive, but let's not forget just how good a product this is. Exceptionally accurate & the club suggestion, temperature and altitude is just tops! Ranked as one of the best rangefinders currently available in https://www.golfassessor.com/best-golf-rangefinder/ and quite rightly so. Will definitely recommend to any serious golfer. Thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, even better service!! I've had my Leupold for around 3 years now and couldn't be happier with it! Have never had any issues or problems, it's a well built rangefinder. Recently the battery cover piece that holds it in broke. I called up looking to buy the replacement cover but Leupold is sending me one at no charge! Their customer service and company are equally as good as the product they make!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GX-4i2 Rangefinder I have had the GX-4i2 Rangefinder for about a month now, before I had the basic Leupold rangefinder. I am so impressed with the response I get from the 4i2, I have always had the Leupold rangefinder but the GX 4i2 is the best.

i have LOS at the bottom left of my screen next to battery life. what does this indicate?

Asked by: LongJohn
Hello LongJohn, The "LOS" indicator you are describing stands for Line Of Sight. It is simply an indication that the rangefinder is providing a "Line Of Sight" distance, not a compensated distance. Thanks for choosing Leupold!

had my GX 4rangefinder for a few years now. Is there any way to check calibrations on it. I think it is a little off.

Asked by: jw37
jw37, That rangefinder does not have any user-calibration needed. If you want to make sure it is working correctly, the best thing to do is to turn it on to Line of Sight (LOS) mode and use it to range a known and measured distance to see if it gives you the correct yardage. Do not do this in TGR mode, as this mode will alter the numbers based on your incline, and programed altitude and temperature. If you suspect a problem, visit our service page at https://www.leupold.com/service-support/services-repair for instructions for warranty service. Regards, Leupold Technical Service

The elevation for the location I play golf the most is about 750....should I set the elevation on my GX-4i 2 to 500 or 1000?

Asked by: Blewis99
Hello Blewis99, You are fine with using 500 or 1,000 feet when playing at 750 feet of elevation. Major changes in trajectory do not occur until the elevation has changed by 2,000 feet. Respectfully, Leupold Technical Service
