Q & A

PING Sigma 2 Anser Stealth Putter w/PP61 Grip

Overview

  • PING Sigma 2 putters are engineered for a new level of performance thanks to PING's extensive technical knowledge and research to meet the needs of golfers everywhere.
  • A new softer dual-durometer insert features two layers of Pebax material: a softer front layer for precision and a firmer back layer for solid feedback and distance control to improve consistency.
  • TR Technology features True Roll grooves machined directly on to the Pebax material for accurate putters with soft feel and ideal feedback.
  • The adjustable-length shaft features a new mechanism inside the grip that can be adjusted with any torque wrench. One full turn equals 1/4" of adjustment up or down.
  • PING research indicates that 8 of 10 golfers are playing the wrong length in their putter so this new easily adjustable design makes it simple for golfers to fit themselves into a putter that is comfortable.
  • The classic Anser blade design features traditional heel-toe bumpers that boost stability along with a single alignment line and medium toe hang to fit a slight arc putting stroke.

Features

  • Adjustable length from 32"-36"
  • Two-piece Pebax face
  • True Roll Technology grooves milled onto the face
  • PP61 grip with an exaggerated pistol shape to fit the contour of golfers' hands with rubber under-listing for softer response
  • Sleek, black stealth finish
  • Includes adjustable wrench and headcover

Adjustable Length Shaft

PING's new adjustable length mechanism is all hidden inside the grip. Insert the torque wrench into the top end and turn. One full turn adjusts the shaft by 1/4" and every putter can be adjusted as short as 32" or as long as 36". PING makes it easier than ever to fit yourself into a more comfortable putter.

Two-Piece Pebax Face

Two-Piece Pebax Face

The dual-durometer Pebax face insert provides softer feel with feedback and distance control to improve your performance on the greens. Inspired by the performance of a multi-layer golf ball, the softer outer layer with TR grooves offers precision on shorter putts while the firmer back layer provides solid feedback and distance control for longer putts and improved consistency overall.

True Roll Face Technology

TR Technology

The True Roll face pattern keeps the ball rolling true toward the hole, supplementing your putting touch for greater consistency.

9 Models Available

The Sigma 2 putter is available in 9 different models, so whether your putt stroke is straight, strong, or slight, there's a right Sigma putter for you.

PING Sigma 2 Anser Stealth Putter w/PP61 Grip Adjustable is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice putter, I used a classic putter face back in high school. I was just currently using taylormade ghost for the past few years, not impressed with that one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rolls perfectly Just added the center shafted model and I couldn’t be happier. Excellent at controlling distances and there is NO hop off the face. Couldn’t ask for more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The adjustable grip is flawed I recently bought a sigma 2 arna. There was 1/8 of turn of play in the grip after adjusting. Back to the shop for a refund and a return to a conventional grip...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's pretty Sweet and for winners only Just got the Sigma 2 Tyne and it is super sweet. The adjustable shaft is pretty brilliant so I could dial in exactly what feels good (I am 6ft and 34.2 in worked well for me) I pulled it out on the green and the ball was so intimidated by it I had to mark and wipe the sweat off. The heavier head is nice to get that pendulum feel but that is a personal preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I bought the Tyne putter about a month ago I find that the tyne putter frames the ball at address so well the true roll face is great the adjusting of the shaff is remarkable its easy and it works set it where you what. One thing I find for myself I dont pull short putts as much, I find this putter to be fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The bridge to lower handicap! Ping=A+ Putter! Coming from a mill ground face to an insert did take getting used to. However, I knew from the first putt it was the feel I’d been searching for. A feel at impact you can rely on to guide your intended line.

The PP61 grip with an exaggerated pistol shape to fit the contour of golfers' hands with rubber under-listing for softer response. The PP60 midsize pistol grip is lightweight with a foam under-listing. The PP62 pistol grip is thicker and more rounded with a foam under-listing.
