Q & A

Wilson Staff Men's C300 Forged Irons

  • Power Hole technology positioned around the face maximize flex for greater ball speed
  • FLX Face designed to increase both distance and forgiveness
  • Thinner top-line provides an appealing look at address for better golfers
  • Forged face for incredible feel combined with an 8620 carbon steel body
Power hole technology

Power Hole Technology

The C300 Forged irons use Power Holes all around the face in the 3-8 irons, including a second row on the sole of the club, to maximize flexibility. This increases face deflection by 27.3% for even more speed, meaning more distance.

FLX Face

FLX Face

Wilson's tradition of creating a large, thin, unsupported club face is here in the FLX Face design. The entire face flexes to create greater deflection which means more distance for you.

Forged Face Construction

The forged face offers a great, soft feel and the responsiveness lower handicap golfers prefer. Combined with an 8620 carbon steel body, you get added distance and forgiveness.

Wilson Staff Men's C300 Forged Irons #4-GW KBS Tour 105 Steel is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great (forged) blades As easy or even easier to hit than the Mizuno blades these replaced. Distance? Yes. Feel? Again, yes. Sound is correct as well. No complaints and no regrets. Great clubs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Clubs for a better price Give these a try and you will not be disappointed. Wilson has always made good irons, but these exceed their previous ones. Very stable at impact, added distance, and yes they can be workable for better golfers. Do not let the lower price as compared to other big name clubs scare you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and accurate! Traded in my mizunos for these around 5 months ago. Best thing I could’ve done. They are easy to strike and easy to work the ball. Also, very slick look that a lot a people can’t believe they’re Wilson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best irons on the market Great irons. You don’t hear a lot about them but if you go and hit them they will be in your bag. They set up nicely and feel like butter off the face. Compared to the “top company” irons and these tested better and felt better overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long & forgiving As I've had so many questions about these irons, I thought it was time to write a review. About me, I've been playing for over 40 years, 30 years with blades but now in my 50's I changed to Mizuno cavities about 4 years ago. Handicap has been at or below 3 for the last 10 years and driver swing speed is just under 110. The first thing I noticed with these clubs is how solid they feel. I've got 4 wraps of tape under the grip which may be part of the reason. They swing weight at D3/D4 which is a bit heavier than standard. With these clubs, I've gained an extra club in distance which threw my gaps off with my Vokey gap wedge therefore I purchased the C300 gap wedge as well. Due to the extra distance though, I've been able to remove my Titleist 712U 3 iron as the Wilson 4 iron is a) Just as long, b) considerably easier to hit off the tee and c) inspires confidence when over the ball. The second point I noted was how forgiving the clubs are. You know when you don't hit the middle of the face but unlike the Mizuno's, the distance loss is very, very minimal. Instead of landing in the bunker short of the green, you will fly it. The third point, and the issue that I had when I first played with these clubs, is that out of the rough, the ball jumps! I've been flying greens that I have no right to fly! I now know to take up to two clubs less to allow for the flyer. This obviously means that I have a much shorter club coming in which has it's benefits :) Highly recommend these clubs but if you're reading this review, you probably already know.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to hit Bought a custom fit (my specs) 3 iron as a test club for a potential full iron set purchase. I am still in the testing process as it takes a bit for me to get accustomed to a new club and a 3 iron is not used that much. So far, the results are better than expected. Ball flight is higher than my normal, which is what I was looking for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Power holes? A hole indeed! But this a couple of weeks back. Played them twice on the course and shot a couple of balls on the range! The urethane in the power holes was crushed into the club (4 and 5 iron!!!) and only left the holes without the power... poor quality Wilson

Evening I would assume the head weight can be changed, correct? I would want a D-4 head height. If so, what does that entail? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Asked by: Older Gator 54
if you custom order them they will just put a metal pin in the bottom of the shaft to get the swingweight .
